I thought it was a shame MLS lost him. From what I remember, it was because Dallas traded him to Colorado and he didn't want to move his family, so he retired. And went back to his indoor side. I'm impressed with these indoor sides--I'd never pay to see indoor, but they've been there for years...

He got traded to KC, he then promptly retired.
