And now sportswriters and sports reporters here in SW Idaho are creaming in their pants over this news.

They are sooooo gonna be kissing his ass on tonight's newscasts.

Good move for him though. He is finally going to be coached by someone that gives a damn about the offense and he'll have a good QB coach in Kubiak.

How exactly is he better than Griese?

I'm no Bronco fan, but living here and following sports you can't help but learn things. Apparently the Broncos don't geel Griese has the temperament to direct the team in the future. The concern with Plummer is how serious he will be about learning the playbook et al, but he has the fire they don't think Griese does. Personally as a Patriots fan I was hoping they'd wait to draft Chris Simms so there would be one less team to compete with for playoff positioning.

I hate Jake Plummer. He's Boise's football god (funny how Cody Pickett, a Heisman hopeful and Pac-10 passing record holder at the Washington, doesn't get near the love by the local media that Jake got in college. I guess that's the difference from playing in Caldwell, a suburb 30 miles to the west, and playing in Boise proper). And as a Bronco fan I am pist. He's not that good, throws to many pics, and is incosistent. Hopefully Denver's running game will take some pressure off of him. The only good thing to come out of this is that the local CBS station will be showing all the Bronco games that they can here now.

He'll have the respect of his teammates, he won't bitch, and he'll stay sober. Of course he no longer has David Boston as his #1 target now.

BTW, Boston to San Diego, Plummer to Denver, just how bad is Arizona going to suck this year?

Speaking of Cody...do you think he is NFL material?

You notice how the Mark Johnson's and Ed Vining's and Jeff Cave's and Wayne Dzubak's around here never said a word about how crappy the Cardinals are? They'll only kiss his ass when he's in town or when he signs a phat contract. Remember when he got that big ass contract with 'Zona several years ago? Jeez...it was like a Jake orgasm around here.

Worse than Detroit, who's improving. Maybe even worse than Cincinnati.

If Mike Brown minds his own business (ha), I see Cincy winning 5-7 games. There's talent there on both sides of the ball.

Pickett could make a NFL team, but you never know now days. It all depends on how he does at the combine. Look at Ken Dorsey. He looked like a sure-fire first or second round pick until he went to the combine and all the scouts said he doesn't have the arm strength.

I only heard a little bit of Caves and Prater yesterday. I have been ignoring the press articles today. Jake Plummer is the closest thing to a deity in Boise. Cory Violette could be next if Gonzaga has a deep run in the NCAA's this year. I still can't get the bad taste out of my mouth from all the press around Plummer when they made the playoffs. I have been glad that he and the Cardinals have sucked the last few years.
