I am just going to quietly put this out there (even if it's not the right forum), but I've been told by people at the club that Headley prefers Jamaica and England - USA third.

Well if I was Jamaica I'd be aggressively courting him in that case, as an England call up isn't happening anytime soon.

Totally. Jamaica should be heavily monitoring it. Kemar Lawrence isn't getting any younger

The Jamaican national team is one of those dysfunctional sides where the current players a will be quite willing to share all the issues with theal federation and will give all the prospective players, especially those with options, fair-warning about committing an international future to them.

This could give a player with options some pause.

I have no idea how good Jaheim Headley is, if he is good enough to consistently start for the US, England or Jamaica or where his heart and motivations lie. He may feel so Jamaican that the JFF president could wipe his ass with the flag and piss all over a copy of Legend and he'd still want to join the Reggae Boyz. But if he's smart, he'll look into all the issues with the JFF before he declares any allegiance.

    Probably already done.

As you note, players talk. It's a small world, most of them know each other or have a max of one or two degrees of separation. Headley has already had multiple Jamaica internationals for teammates and one of them, Rolando Aarons, is still with HFC. He's likely had many discussions over time with Rolando and other Jamaican internationals competing across the EFL. If he's had these talks and still reached this stage today, where Jamaica is one of the top choices, he's probably comfortable enough with what Jamaica has to offer him.

His follows on IG are telling as well. I see the JFF, Usain Bolt, a bunch of other Jamaican celebrities and England...no USMNT.

Again, I've personally spoken to people at Huddersfield in the media department. They work directly with the players on a daily basis. They were pretty clear to me that the kid wants Jamaica. It's just where is heart is. I've dealt with Huddersfield a number of times for the better part of a decade and they're stand-up people. They're going to be honest with me about this.

As for Headley, can people change? Sure. But I wouldn't bet on it here.

Goes straight into the starting lineup after returning from an injury:

Having recovered from the hamstring injury he sustained early in the game against Coventry City on 4 March, Jaheim Headley comes straight back into the side today. He replaces Josh Ruffels, who is a substitute in South Wales.
