This feels like a draw. That's what I thought for a second when I first saw the topic. But then again, we have to chase Madrid and mustn't lose a point anywhere. However, our attacking form is currently very bad, we're so out of shape up front. We just need one guy to be in form and we'll be all good. Like Real, if Ruud works fine then everything is fine. We need either Messi or Henry, maybe even Ronaldinho surprises us, we need just one of them to work good and score a lot. We haven't scored more than a goal a game in the last 5 matches!

Wouldn't that be 16:00/4pm EST? (don't forget us Canucks up north :p)

ps: what's up with Mr. Hudson? Haven't heard him comment any matches the last while...

Dunno about Hudson. I think it's a nice vacation though, as the the other guy has a totally different style and also knows the game pretty well. There are no sacred cows to him either, so he tends to call guys out when they're not at their "most intelligent".

I get a laugh over most of Ray Hudson's superlatives and metaphors, the problem is they fly way too often. I wish he'd cut back a bit to make the zingers shine a little more. I'm a little desensitized to them at this point. Ok, well maybe not "(insert forward's name here) fill his shorts on that one" :p

I really like Paul Giblin and Sid Lowe on WorldSport HD. Their sense of humor is pretty good, plus they live there, so they're totally immersed in the whole soap opera that is Spanish football.

I love Ray`s commentary. He will probably do the matches over the weekend.

I think that Ronnie will get the start along with Henry and Messi. We need goals and bad. Xavi is the real metronome for this team and it really showed when he wasnt in the game on Sunday . Im sure we will geet three points. And Madrid hopefully will loose . I predicted it last week and it happened but maybe two is to mutch to ask for OR is it ?

 There is a very high possibility that Marquez and Giovani are going to miss the game against Sevilla because of the very long trip that awaits them to Houston to participate in the 'friendly' against the USMNT. The reason for this is that the game (USMNT VS Mexico) is going to be played in the early morning of Thursday and therefore they will not make it to the final training session back in Barcelona on Friday morning before leaving to Andalucía in the evening of Friday... all of this started when Marquez and Giovani could not travel through Frankfurt as planned due to the extreme weather so Paris was the substitute and consequently their travel plans changed...

This leaves us with a real problem in midfield! Marquez was doing so well in DMF and will be missed sorely! STUPID 'FRIENDLY' :(

Hopefully they'll be tired and not do well during the friendly so USMNT can win. Not really a USMNT fan, but I like seeing them beat Mexico ;).

 I really don't care who wins! All I am worried about is the squad, we really need Marquez as Puyol is injured, Toure is away and Edmilson is Edmilson!
I don't know how FR is going to sort it out, I guess he will play Iniesta or Deco in that position or start Edmilson , lol I am very angry... and sleepy I am going to bed now, it is 1:18 am now...

What's not to love when the Mexicans get humiliated by my boys :D(not really). On a more serious note, I do hope Gio and Marquez are able to play on Saturday. But seeing as it's only a whole day between the games I don't see much good.

For the sake of argument, let's say that Gio does not play at all against Sevilla...I certainly hope this would not preclude him from MOTM consideration. After all, this team is built around him, he led the team to 2 Champions League titles and he scored 6 goals in a 5-0 thrashing of Madrid during his first season.

Did anyone see the Sevilla match where Alves was shown the last yellow? I was wondering if the did indeed deserve it, or was the Federation just in rescinding it.

Sevilla always play strongly against the big teams. I cant see us win this with the drought we are having in front of the goal unless there is something special done by someone. Atmost a draw !!

...amazing. There must be a machine out there, somewhere, making molds of "types" of humans. It's uncanny, but everyone seems to have a "double".

MARCA has 'claimed' that because of the muscle injury that Zambrotta picked up against Portugal in today's international friendly, he will be a very big doubt to play against Sevilla. Thus, there is no choice on that day but to play Oleguer at RB!

Now, we are in 'real' crisis at RB and DMF
If this story is true then the absentees will be; Marquez, Giovani, Zambrotta Puyol, Eto'o and Toure! Did we loan Crosas out a bit to quickly?

After missing Tuesday's training session because of pain in his right eye [notice the blackness around it in the picture above], king Ronnie participated in the preparations and training [although his eye still hurts] for the Sevilla game. According to SPORT, Ronaldinho showed an excellent level of fitness and played very well, therefore, he could very much be a starter for the Sevilla game... after a very long absence of the starting lineup...

    :)

I think the real problem was getting rid of Belletti, and not buying a replacement RB. Loaning Crosas didn't make having Oleguer on the pitch inevitable.

We'll see about Zambrotta come this weekend. I dunno, I think both will have a tough time with Capel on that side. Then you got Navas and Alves bearing down on Abidal on the other side. Thuram & Milito are going to have a lot of wide cleanup to do this weekend on top of keeping tabs on Fabiano & Kanoute. Ugh.

I agree, I never wanted to see Belletti go but we knew that Toure was going to the ACN and that Marquez would be needed at CB in some of the games, IMO we should have had some cover for DMF...

Anyway, as long as Milito playing I feel safer...In Milito we trust! Edmilson had a good training session so he also might start.
