One of the best leagues in the world? When did that happen? Granted, the J-League has a lot to be proud of. Let's hope MLS can have similar success after ten years.
Yeah, it's a pretty shoddy article. Japan didn't get "15" new stadia from the World Cup. And the increases are deceiving, too. They J-League started with huge crowds that collapsed, then have slowly grown back the last 2-3 years as the World Cup build-up took hold. Apparently there's some big "Conference on Indian Football" going on. I think they're trying to figure out how to start a division one domestic league. Here's another article.
