What J-League teams are based in Tokyo? I know that Tokyo Verdy is one of them, but i was wondering what others are considered Tokyo clubs. Thanks in advance.

Not sure if you care but you have teams that are outside of Tokyo proper, but reasonably close, like Yokohama Marinos.

Yeah, only 2 official Tokyo Teams:

Verdy and FC Tokyo, but a lot of teams within reasonable driving distance:

    Yokohama F Marinos
    FC Yokohama (J2)
    Urawa Reds (in Saitama)
    Omiya Ardija (J2 in Saitama)
    JEF Ichihara (in Chiba)
    Kashiwa Reysol (in Chiba)

The home stadium of 2 teams of Tokyo is not center of Tokyo.

Great map, but I think Antlers and Hollyhock are a bit too out of the way to be considered Tokyo area.

Liveinyokohama - This is off-topic, but I'll be leaving next week to visit my wife's family in Yokohama and plan on going to the Marinos vs FC Tokyo game May 10. I was hoping you could tell me a little about the best players from each club, and also if you know any good bars/restaurants where Yokohama supporters meet before and after games.

    Arigato Gozaimasu!

Hi,CosmosKramer. I'm sorry. The reply became slow.
I also go to watch the game on May 10.
The seat of this stadium is two layers, and the second floor seat is suitable for watching a game .
The spectators of this game will be about 20,000. A nonreserved seat can be taken freely.
The players of attention are FW Kubo (Yokohama) and MF Ishikawa (Tokyo).
Kubo is the player of Japan national team. He did the hat trick in last game. He is the ace of Yokohama.
Ishikawa is the player of U-22 Japan national team. His strong points are a fast dribble and an exact pass.
The fan of Yokohama goes to the restaurant near the Shin-yokohama station after a game.
There are various restaurants and taverns.
I always go to a tavern called "shou ya" in front of the Shin-yokohama station.

    see you!

Liveinyokohama - Thanks for the info. I had a great time at the game and a wonderful time in Japan!

Looks like the Marinos have a shot at finishing first this year, though, Jubilo will be hard to beat (as usual).

By the way, the Yokohama's supporters section behind the goal is very, very impressive. Great singing! I wish my MetroStars had half as many in it's supporters section at Giants stadium.

Also, I bought a Marinos jersey at the team gift shop after the game, and am looking forward to proudly showing it off here in NYC.

    Thanks again.
