Why the hell is it, that everytime the ESC attempts to travel to RFKrap there's an incident? Last night after the the Open cup game, the 15-20 travelling Metro supporters were chanting as we exited the stadium..as usual. When suddenly, some ass clown lights an m-80, fires it over the heads of all of us, and has it land smack in the middle of us, to the point where people had to run out of the way as it exploded. This asshole then takes off running through the concourse, and no one stops him.

WHY IS IT THAT EVERY TIME WE TRAVEL TO THAT DUMP, WE HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT SOMEONE GOING AFTER US? There is no excuse for this anymore. It's been going on for 10 years, and it's about damn time United does something about it. I'm not gonna even bother complaining about the scarf that was stolen (eventually gotten back by security) or the fact that two idiots attempted to steal the Brooklyn banner, I've come to expect that from the morons of RFK. But to hurl and explosive at a group of travelling supporters is the last ********ing straw. I don't care if it means that the Eagles, La Norte, the Barra and the ESC all sit down at a table...this needs to be resolved now. April was bad enough, but at least there weren't any m-80's. If I hadn't ensured we had a security escort in and out of the stadium, I don't know what would've happened, one of us could've ended up in some serious trouble or in an ambulance.

I SPENT TWO WEEKS SECURING A SECTION, I SPENT TWO WEEKS GOING OVER THINGS WITH SECURITY. GUESS WHAT? THERE WAS STILL AN INCIDENT.

Now to the people committing these acts..as it seems to be the same people, or type of person doing this. They are obviously in one of the three supporters clubs because they aren't nutjobs acting on their own. How do I know this? Because someone informed the person who chucked the m-80 where we were exiting (because we exited in a completely different area than we entered). Which means, that there are multiple people either in the Barra, SE or LN who are collaberating and doing this to travelling Metro fans. We tried the league approach...didn't work. We tried the FO approach...didn't work. Now it comes down to the higherups of the supporters clubs being proactive in solving this problem.

WHEN YOU GUYS COME TO G.S. NONE OF YOU HAVE TO DEAL WITH THIS SHIT. YOU GET YOUR OWN LITTLE SECTION, AWAY FROM US. DO YOU EVER SEE THE ESC STARTING WITH YOU GUYS? DO YOU EVER SEE THE ESC INVADE YOUR SECTION? DO YOU EVER SEE THE ESC HURL EXPLOSIVES AT YOU?

It never happens, because even though we may not have a lot of it, we have pride and class. I don't care what gets done as long as something gets done. 60+ are heading down in a month, if this isn't resolved by then...

-Greg (K You spoke with me this evening when you were talking to Binkley, I was to his left a row up on the drum).

I left this off the DC boards so Knave or any other DC mod has no authority over where this thread goes. This needs to be kept out in the open, this needs to be solved

Get an F'in clue. The likelihood that anyone who disrupted your slinking away from the stadium was from any of the clubs you are so willing to besmirch is probably about as likely as your ability to ever become an amateur detective.

What's the rush? And why would any of the three groups want to plonk themselves down to hear this garbage:

As if the handful of folks who bothered to notice your miniscule band of brothers actually cared which entrance you used and then used the super secret system of RFK carrier pigeons to disseminate the code that would crack which exit you might use to depart.

Hell, it takes enough of our energy just to collaborate on singing the same damn song at any given time.

Or might the miscreant have just bothered to follow you and/or your songs at the end of the match. Duh!

What are you on about? You either have no clue as to what happens at your own grounds or just enjoy hitting the Caps Lock key. For a decade we have had scum (and I would never stoop to calling them fans NOR would I label them as necessarily ESC members) attempt to both "invade" our travelling contingent, yada, yada, yada.

You must be delirious after your trek back up the Jersey turnpike with your tails tucked firmly between your legs after our matadors made quick work of your bulls.

    Oooh, 60+

What, your Red Bull paymasters aren't providing a free ride anymore? Shame.

Seriously, I have a fairly simple possible solution (not that you'd likely care to listen with all that pent up vitriol clogging your ears).

    - Arrive a couple of hours before gametime when we are all too busy at our various tailgates to bother with the likes of you.
    - Get escorted to the 500 level of RFK
    - Stay there until all other fans have left the stadium
    - Go home to commiserate after having to witness another defeat at the hands of our team.

Just keep the pop-policework to yourself or go enroll in John Jay.

I'm going to have to agree with both the first and the second poster.

SOME DC fans are out of control and just last night some crazy ass kid (shaved head, backpack, spider web tattoo on his arm) was stealing beer and god knows what else from people right in front of section 332. He had no interest in the game he just came to steal shit. By the time the police made it over he was long gone.

You combine that with random fights in the parking lots, people standing in front of people who want to sit and all the other minor things that add up to be big things for some people and you end up with a pretty non-friendly environment.

Best solution...Dedicated fan sections for home and away fans. The away fans (especially during Red Bulls games) need a special area that is almost blocked off and definetly on the other side of the stadium as the DC fan clubs and they need about 100x the security as they currently have now, after the games in the parking lots.

If we ever get a new stadium they need a sunken area for the fan sections or a rise for the sections behind the fan section so the standing thing no longer is an issue. Until then the ticket people need to warn people they are buying tickets in a standing section or right behind one.

And as far as the punks running around the stands stealing s*&^ we got camera phones and your photo is being shared with the police.

first off, we have supporter groups in almost every corner of that stadium and season ticket holders in every section for the most part so unless you guys want up in the 500 level, where you guys are last night is the dedicated away section......last time we gave you the security you asked for when red bull paid for you guys to come down.

yes there are arsehole fans in every stadium, yes even your stadium, but just dont go ut and assume its a dc supporters group doing it.

Why is it every time ESC comes to RFK, they feel it necessary to try to blame DC's most ardent supporters for whatever befalls them. The SE/BB/LN are not violent SC's, they are there for the team and game. There are violent individuals that may align themselves with a group or stand nearby as with the skinhead thing. Stop trying to blame entire groups for what one person or several people do.

I'm sorry you didn't have a safe trip. Come to Lincoln Financial Field when the Giants play the Eagles, wear your Mike Strahan jersey, I'll bet you find it harder to be a Giants fan in Philly than a Metros fan in DC.

    For the love of....

While I sympathize with the original poster, you really should leave your acusations of this incident being BB, SE, or LN a the door. The leadership of all 3 groups has made it very clear to their membership that they have essentially a ZERO tolerance policy towards violence, its understood by the membership and I'm sorry but within these types of organizations the groups have very little to NO control over what a "rouge" member might do, if it is in fact a member that brought you all harm.

I think history should have taught you that DC United fans in general are extremely passionate and for you to come strolling into RFK and to expect a cakewalk is very misguided of you. I've been to GS 3 times now and every time I go there I expect the unexpected, why haven't you done the same when coming to RFK? You choose to sit amongst our fans you have to anticipate there could be problems.

As for your grand DC United Supporters Club conspiracy theory (RFKgate), you absolutely have to be kidding. And to think that RFK security who can't stand the supporters groups to begin with, was somehow in cahoots with these hooligans, that's the funniest thing I've heard since Rongen was coach of DCU!

If you don't like the issues or problems when you have when you travel to RFK there is a simple solution, just don't come it obviously would save you a lot of heartache. Well, there is one other solution, I hear Section 510 has a lovely view of the pitch!

I wonder why New York Red B**** fans are so prone to over reaction and hyperbole?

What you describe if true (there is much that sounds suspect to me to take it at face value) is not a major incident of violence.

You want to see violence eh? This is violence:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2mFzV5iL8NU

God forbid US clubs start qualifying to go to Libertadores. You think you have something to complain about now? Try going to South America during the Copa Libertadores.

Of course before you could do that Red Bu*** would have to give you wings cause that team aint flying anywhere anytime soon in league play, open cup play, reserves play, even our under 17s beat up on yours on the pitch, in fact our under 17's are in SPAIN right now about to play in a world competition against other U-17 teams from around the world. Where's yours? The U-17s open play against Dutch side Feyenoord in Ciudad Real on August 25, then travel to Miguelturra for the next day’s match-up with Argentina’s Boca Juniors, before finishing their opening-round play on August 28 in Puertollan against Spain’s Real Madrid. Should the team advance out of group play, quarterfinal play begins on August 30 with the semifinals set for September 1. The tournament concludes on September 3 with the finals in Albacete.

I think most of you Red B*** ssupporters are just pissed off because

    1- Columbus owned you - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jbuvRjM6_dY
2- We owned you -even with Bruce "The Mouth" Arena - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3PXVH-QnJ6c

And why didn't you post this in the Fan Rivalries forum?

Because it's not about Fan Rivalry! RBNY had a legitimate complaint - it didn't have to do with having a little fun in the forum. RFK's got a serious problem and it needs to be fixed. Jade, you need to stop writing shit that doesn't pertain to the topic. The topic starter wasn't talking smack, he was listing a real problem in DC. Don't fire back with your childish antics.

um yes we do, you don't hear about it cos a) we don't post it on boards b) it usually ends up as bad idea for home side. We went through 5x more stuff in Chitown last month, did you read much about it? Exactly, it wasn't worth posting :)

You guys talk so much crap on boards with your internet hooligan shtick I can't feel sorry for you. I really do think you'll be safer on second level, it takes so long to get back down that everyone will be gone by then ;)

They need special area near flagpoles in 500 level. And lotsa CSC there cos that will make it worse :D

Alright, so next game..I'll go to the Barra, steal your shit, then chuck a firework at you as you leave the game? Sound good? Because if not, thrn you have no right to talk. This wasn't just one incident, things like this have happened for the past ten years. It's ridiculous that it continues to happen, and the blaze attitude if those posting in this thread only serves to further prove my point. Nothing proactive is going to happen, nothing is going to change unless you guys do something about it.

Asking if it was true? Ask shaydee, I'm sure he could come into this thread and back me up. You know, you're so quick to defend everyone in your sg's, yet you have nearly 1,000 members there between the three of you each game. You surely cannot know all the members, therefore cannot accuratley make a defense if you do not know what has happened.

    legitimate? aqui?

He had an 'alleged' problem. And made an assumption of responsibility. One which most of the posters agreed sounded dubious. Its nothing but fan rivalry taken to a new level.

The guy who did this was a skinhead..again. I recall last time that the person who did it was a group of skinheads behind La Norte (who we actually thought were part of La Norte. To be fair, K came over, and another SE member came over at half time to shake our hands for coming down. A very nice gesture and is appreciated.

I never ever suggested security was in cohorts with the guy who did it. Ever. Read the post again. All I said was that he had to have a group of buddies or someone telling him where we left the stadium because he got kicked out after stealing the scarf.

The rest of the game was excellent, and with the exception of someone stealing one of our members scarf, and the m-80 on the way out, there really were no problems.

Some of the reactions in this thread though are ridiculous. No, an m-80 is not a major explosive...so that means do nothing about it? Give me a break.
