I am in the "Benzema has to improve because he's so talented " camp. I'm not so sure if the camp exists just yet, but if it does you're welcome to join.

 

I don't find it particularly funny to be making fun of Adriano. He lost his father which obviously broke his heart in to a million pieces and had a drastic affect on him mentally, and eventually physically. You might as well start joking about Benzemas father dying, then he can be the real new Adriano, pretty funny stuff.

 

From reading the reports in AS and Marca it is unclear whether Benzema was in the Porsche, which apparently broke hard after missing a turning into a hotel, or in the Gallardo which hit the kerb trying to avoid the Porsche.

Given the reputation Gallardos have for bursting into flames after overheating, if it was the latter, he got off lightly.

 

Sure as hell seems like it.

 

No more driving for Benzema. He needs to start using the metro, walk or he could get Huntelaar to be his chauffeur.

Adriano's late night partying and alcohol abuse started long before his father death. He as always been a notorious booze hound and frequent nighclub guest. Even til this very day. It would be a lot simpler to blame all his misfortunes on his father death but that is not the case.

 

You know his father passed away in 2004 right?

No. I guess I'm just wondering how you've come to the conclusion that his problems with late night partying and more specifically alcoholism were there "long before" his father's death.

 

It's no secret that Adriano was too fond of partying, he even occasionally made the headlines during his Fiorintina and Parma days for it. The then Parma manager Carmignani came out commented on it.

 

The partying I know but one could argue it didn't really affect his performances on the pitch, even though Carmignani commented on it as he was eventually bought back to Inter and had his best season in Europe with them in 2004. As far as being a notorious boozehound I don't remember hearing anything about his problems with alcohol until after his father died.
