I honestly hope not. As a uhman being i hope he finally learns how to manage his fears and situations. Not because he is Kaviedes, but I know what a torture that life can be.

I hope so too, but I am afraid that if anything, his reactions have shown us in the past, that he is very inconsistent at being able to stick it out when push come to shove.

Like I said, I might be wrong, but he seems to be happy playing a little footy. I hope the best for him, I really do. I always liked him as a player and wanted so much more for him - but that said, I hope he stayes were he is at.

    Re: Ivan Kaviedes

    why not?

simply b/c he's SO in shape, he's young as ever, and b/c he's SUPER disciplined and WILL DEFINITELY be around playing for the NT for the next 4 years and in the next world cup at age 36. THATS why. :D:p

How long has it been since he's scored a goal? a few months i believe. now all of the sudden he's the best player in the world.

    Lol...what "reconocimiento"???

Anyway, Mr. Discipline himself is starting in his old ways again...it was only a matter of time.

    Re: Ivan Kaviedes

Although Macará did not win the game, Kaviedes sure showed some class in the assist and in the goal that he scored. He still shows sparks of being a good player. Every time I get a chance, I try to see how Macará plays when Kaviedes is on the field. He has qualities that other players do not have at this moment in Ecuador. I hope he takes care of himself and keeps improving his level of game.

    Re: Ivan Kaviedes

Well, you could never say never in the Ecuador way of thinking because he has a lot of supporters. If he improves his level of playing and there are no other scorers for the National Team, who could be placed? Benitez, Caicedo, Palacios, again. Kaviedes might not be a starter, but he could be a good replacement for the team. He could be good to enter in the second half in a tight situation in El Estadio Atahualpa in a 0-0 or 1-1 situation when the team needs a goal to win the game. He might not be as speedy as before but he could assist on a goal. He is a quick thinker and a quick passer. That is what I saw him do vs El Nacional in Ambato last Saturday. He entered the game and changed the game completely for Macará. Unfortunately, the team could not win. He cannot do everthing by himself. He entered in the second half, had an assist and scored a goal. I think that is at least acceptable.

we also have a slew of guys that should get attention instead of just F. Caicedo, Benitez, and Palacios. How about our youngsters?

    Re: Ivan Kaviedes

You said 32, right. Let's see. How old is Martín Palermo, C. Blanco, G. Franco, I. Hurtado, M. Elizaga, etc. These are only a few players that I could think of. There are many others that are playing for their National Team and/or World Cup that are older than 32. I am not saying for Kaviedes to start the game and play for 90 plus minutes. All I am saying that he could be "El Milagroso" that Ecuador needs, if he is playing up to the level of a player of the National Team when he is required to play. I repeat not as a starter. As a substitute for the team, that could be his place at this moment for the National Team. He could give the boost that Ecuador needs in a key game like I said in El Estadio Atahualpa. Since he is playing in "La Altura", he is already used to it and should not be a problem for him to play in Quito.

all these players had very professional career and weren't snorting cocaine or getting drunk, they took care of their bodies.
Have you seen kaviedes now? he has the face of a 50 year old.
