Anybody been to www.itsagoal.com lately? It says the site is underconstruction. Does anyone know if they were supposed to be changing their site? It just looks weird. Plus I don't think the season was over yet. Anyway, it's just an FYI.
It's been inaccessible since either Thursday or Friday, not sure which. I don't visit the forums there often at all, and I'm pretty sure my listed email there is a hotmail account I've abandoned, so I don't know if they put out a notice that the site would be down. But I know that before today (I think), there wasn't even the 'site under construction' page, you'd just end up getting site not found. Seems like someone in charge finally showed up to at least put a dummy site up.
Itsagoal has ended: from an email (from the itsagoal msn group): "we no longer have the funding required to support itsagoal" It also says... "We are developing a new site, taking what we have learnt and building upon it. We will be looking for beta testers to help us refine it and work the bugs out in 3 - 4 months time. Interested ? You should be Get yourselves along to www.itsagoal.com in the next 2 or 3 days. There will be a page up where you can register and leave your mail details. When we are ready to start the beta test we will be in touch."
Letter from Itsagoal boss Taken from Itsagoal MSN Group Orinigal post " Lads and Lasses, My thanks to anubis for creating and hosting this site, and to you guys for playing and supporting itsagoal.com. The reason that my-self and big_boss have been quiet, and have not posted sooner is that until today we were not completley clear on the situation, and did not want to say anything until we were sure. indeed, anubis and a number of others dropped me a mail. I cannot go into the detail, as its not appropriate but, to cut a very long story short we no longer have the funding required to support itsagoal. We had hoped to resolve this prior to the plug being pulled, and frankly I was suprised when itsagoal disappeard, but there is little we can do about this now. I have had long conversations with big_boss as to what we intend to do regarding itsagoal. As you are no doubt aware there were a number of major changes in the pipeline, and having had time to review the state of itsagoal we have identifed many many more. We are developing a new site, taking what we have learnt and building upon it. We will be looking for beta testers to help us refine it and work the bugs out in 3 - 4 months time. Interested ? You should be Get yourselves along to www.itsagoal.com in the next 2 or 3 days. There will be a page up where you can register and leave your email details. When we are ready to start the beta test we will be in touch. I'm sorry that itsagoal was brought to such an abrupt end. I appreciate that many of you will miss it. Remember, that however gutted you feel it sure aint any where near as gutted as I'm feeling right now. We'll be back, and like I say if you want to be part of that then just register your interest in a couple of days time at the above address, and we will put you on the mailing list, keeping you up to date with our progress. Thought itsagoal was good before ? , well its about to get a whole lot better Thanks for your time. jumpers for goal posts ! itsagoal.com ! mmm isn'tit Ronmanager"
IAG2 Latest email: "Hi. Yep-incase you do not know-the itsagoal forum is back online (ok-its different-but its a forums isn't it folks). Yep-Ron and Big_Boss are there too! Oh-and things are definently looking up-its gonna be FREE! Oh yer-one minor detail-theres this too: IAG2 will not be based on the original source code. IAG2 will be very similar to IAG1 but will have tons more features. We are working as hard as possible to complete the new version. We can move forward very quickly in developing IAG2 because we've been there before and we will avoid all the mistakes and bug that were in IAG1. Here are some teasers: Custom cups Custom leagues Brand new tactical engine with pre-game options In-game instructions Player instructions (push up, free role etc) Youth team Reserve team matches Champs leagues New league structure (re-org) Premiership Division 1 Division 2 etc.... Player name changes Multiple scouts, coaches, etc. Scout can go to matches and report on tactics Well that's just a snippet of features that will be in IAG2.... We are loyal to our users and will do our best to get the new version on-line ASAP!!! Regards, BigBoss"
