    . . . big fish like PETA and Greenpeace. Yes, the FBI counter-terrorism unit actually uses resources going after "terrorists" like PETA.

    My only comment is that my wife and I are now apparently terrorists, so you all had better watch your back.

    Peta isn't terrorists, but groups like Earth First have a history of burning things down. Paticulary at ski resorts. :mad:

    ELF is another environmental group that gets its kicks from setting fire to SUVs. I don't think that monitoring some of these groups is a bad thing, but I wouldn't put PETA near the top of a priority list by any means.

    To paraphrase Nixon, we are all semi-communistic now.

    One F.B.I. document indicates that agents in Indianapolis planned to conduct surveillance as part of a "Vegan Community Project."

    Tofu = treason?

    A lot of farmers back in my home county have switched some of their fields from corn to soybeans--the raw material for tofu. We need to keep an eye on these people.

    Tofu leads to dancing, which leads to terrorism.

    See, the nuns did teach me something.

    No need to toss the constitution and bill of rights onto the fire in order to do so, however.

    Time to watch my mouth at my next vegan pitch in, I guess. Right here in Indy.

    Fantastico.

    Does that article mention anything else about the Indy group?

    I agree, but there are groups out there that are deserving of being surveyed, and some of them are not all that threatening. But again, they're really not that high priority.

    I'm a member of Greenpeace so I expect to be on the no fly list sooner or later. Actually, I kind of was. Someone with a very similar name to mine is on the list and I had to get notarized copies of birth certificte/passport to 'prove' to the TSA clowns that I shouldn't keep getting flagged every time I checked in.

    Hey, like the man in the photo said (um, the one with his shirt on): "To live outside the law you must be honest."

    Come to think of it, maybe Bush should use that as his defense. It's better than anything else he's come up with.
