Wonder Twins: Comics2Film reports that Merriwether Williams ("The Hedonist", Nickelodeon's "SpongeBob SquarePants") is writing the script for the live-action feature adaptation of the Hanna-Barbera 70's cartoon.

Joel Schumacher will always get credit from me for The Lost Boys. Pretty much everything else he's done sucks though, with the possible exception of 8mm.
The concept of a rich old man, paying some twisted, bizarre, misanthropic porn dealer to create a snuff film, featuring a little girl getting mutilated by some character named, "Machine." Just so the old man can masturbate to that abomination night and day, makes a good movie? That is pretty messed up, in my opinion, to pull any movie out of the realm of "suck." What sick mind wrote the script for this?
