    Following one step b
So far, Beckham will be Nº 8

So far David Beckham will wear number 8, because he can´t be number 7 (for Raul) and number 10 (for Figo). And I guess still Morientes is number 9.
I wonder if this mean who will be out, or players will change their numbers.

No way Raul gives up # 7, if Figo moves to Inter, Beckham could go to #10.

Morientes won't be the next year, He hasn't played this year and he has said that he want to go to other team where he can play more minutes.

Then Ronaldo will have the number 9 and Beckham could have the number 11 (Ronaldo).

    * He will also get the number 7 jersey that is now worn by Raul.

Very very funny. Even Being a Barcelona supporter you have the enough intelligence to know that it's totally impossible that Raul lost the number 7.

    Beckham's Number

Beckham has been assigned shirt #11 at Real Madrid. Contrary to reports that he would wear #77, La Liga rules prohibit assigning shirt numbers over 25. Ronaldo, who currently wears #11 will more than likely gain back his coveted #9 as it's current holder, Morientes, looks set for an end of season departure.

Officially, RM have said that DB will get his number from the available number pool (1-25) at the end of the season but apparently the deal is done for number 11.

17 would've worked as well i suppose although its not as sexy as 11 and i didn't take the time to see if anyone on the team already had it.

    Beckham's Number

Beckham will wear number 14 or 23 the only free numbers, my guess 14, if he picks 23 its a marketing ploy to get michael jordan type publicity in the US.

    between 1 and 25:

    1- Cassilas
    2- Salgado
    3- Roberto Carlos
    4- Hierro
    5- Zidane
    6- Helguera
    7- Raul
    8- McMannaman
    9- Morientes
    10- Figo
    11- Ronaldo
    12-Tote
    13- Cesar
    14-
    15- Guti
    16- Conceiaco
    17- Minambres
    18- Portillo
    19- Cambiasso
    20- Celades
    21- Solari
    22- Pavon
    23-
    24- Makelele
    25- Carlos Sanchez Garcia

    Beckham s Jersey

Dont rush out and buy the new Beckham Jersey ON REal's website it specifically states that a new one is coming out for the 03/04 season. They wont show pictures and images though....typical. BUT if you go to Ebay and type in "Real Madrid Beckham" you might get a look at the new away jersey (or it might be a knock off) its black with SIEMENS mOBILE on the front.

He might get #8 because McMannaman should be gone. Morientes is another possible #9. Beckham might consider #11.

Then, I hope the #10 goes to Zidane.....
Beckham should be either #8 or #11.

Sounds great, But i think that Ronaldinho will go to the Manchester, and Chivu will go to the Milan. Or both can go to the Barcelona because the Barcelona could pay more money than any other club for these players, because they have lost Beckham and the new president need desperately a big name.

    My perfect team will be:

    --------------------1.Casillas
    2.Salgado------13(1+3=4).Chivu---6.Helguera----3.Roberto Carlos
    11.Beckham-------24.Makelele------------10.Figo
    ---------------------5.Zidane
    ------------------7.Raul---9.Ronaldo

Anyway, I also will be very happy with your team :).

You're both wrong. I don't know what sources you have but they can't be correct. If Raul leaves next year in a trade for Rooney i'll hurl. Albet Rooney is younger, Raul is a god in Spain and will only be turning 27 next year. If anything they should let him be captain and finish his career there. rooney still has to go through the phases that Raul is still mastering. i still wonder how the hell he hasn't won player of the year yet. I'll say Rooney is good, but he yet has to show me he'll surpass Raul. Now i could see Morientes leaving, Ronaldo either gets #9 and passes #11 to Beck's, or Beck's gets #9. In the end we'll find out very shortly and it doesn't matter his number, his performance does! Hala Madrid!!
