    Wizards awards

I'm guessing most of you have seen this already, but i don't remember having seen it mentioned yet. KC won the MLS Fair Play Team Award and Klein is up for a couple of awards (Chung is up for MVP...too bad we couldn't keep him). This is on the front page of www.mlsnet.com for those interested.

well since this is a thread for the Wizards awards, who do you think was the Wizards MVP this season? I really have no clue, but I would probably say Preki or Klein would be my choices but I don't really know.

Preki got the team MVP award. It was in an article last week before the last LA game.

If Klein doesn't get the Comeback player of the year award, then this a joke. The other two up for it are Lalas and Olsen. Lalas didn't come back from crap! He played last year, wasnt injured, and only missed games because hes too old to play two games a week. That isn't grounds for comeback player. And Olsen?!?! WTF?! He played in a handful of games late in the year, when the season was on the line. And he contributed next to nothing.

I'm pretty sure but I think the Fair Play award goes to the team with the fewest cards (or fouls). Do we really want us to get this award? I mean, how many great teams have there been that didn't play a little too hard at times? Just an observation...

So his ACL tear doesn't count if he doesn't actually miss a game?

As already stated, its not like Lalas came back from an injury, he just came back from being old. Although he never "came back" at all, he just took periodic breaks.

Olsen didnt play 75% of the season. You can't be comeback player of the year if you dont play most of it.

According to MLS, we played it pretty well.

    In all truth, i
    a) Dont understand how they could not have noticed our 437 red cards during the season, and

    b) Would have rather been a dirty hack-fest of team and actually win something.
