When you've battled injuries over and over and over and it's been one setback after another, I don't see how anyone could see this as a step backwards. I think this is a positive step in the right direction to resurrect his career. Forget about the USMNT. That's in the rear view mirror. That ship has probably sailed unless AJ just lights it up in the Allsvanskan. That should not be his focus or our focus. I am just glad to see AJ is finally healthy and has serious interest from a decent club. I was unsure that was ever going to happen again given his injuries. Seeing the pitch and getting first team minutes for a complete season should be his focus. I am sure it is. AJ can turn a "would could have been" career into something salvageable with a nice rebound season or two with Hammarby.
Very surprised any club is willing to give him a 3 year deal...unless the second 2 years are club option or if the contract itself is heavily incentivized. Totally agree with your view. Knocking on all kinds of wood that his worst injury days are behind him.
Specifically Hammarby games, I am not sure. However, ESPN+ streams one or two Allsvenskan matches a week. They will always show the bigger clubs like AIK, Malmo, IFK Goteborg, Hammarby, or Djurgardens. It's not bad football to watch and can be entertaining. Looks like this week's match is Ostersunds FK vs. IFK Norrkoping.
Thanks for the info. I already subscribe to ESPN+ so that works great for me. I remember years ago when I could only get an occasional game a few times a year on the regional sports network on cable and now today there are thousands of games a month to choose from. Amazing how far soccer has progressed in America.
Swede home Alabaman: Aron Johannsson to Hammarby IF (Sorry folks, this really is a dead-stop winner.)
VPN. A quick look at the website looks like they have their own tV as well. dunno if it streams games. My Swedish is not that good.

Good article and good to know he’s motivated. I feel bad for him because of all the injuries. To get back to the Bremen March day squad earlier this year shows he has quality. I’m pulling for him and hope he makes it back all the way and gets a look with the Nats.
Into the match... 73' #Bajen gör sitt sista byte för kvällen.
