I know that I'm late here, but I may be able to help out. I've got some experience with digital wallets and helping people work through technology issues. However, it may be a conversation more conducive to a platform other than this.
I failed my pledge in buying season tickets (as Ive said the schedule sucks for me this season)....instead I am a buy tickets per games I can attend.....My wife and I have a sitter for Sat which means we get to enjoy the game kid free. Woot woot. See yall in section 124
Got that right. I've never once been willing to spend a cent to save having to walk another couple hundred feet I dont get it
Glory is an American Wheat and they released a black lager called For Columbus last year so that makes me wonder if the American Wheat and Black Lager are the same and then there's two new options in the Juicy Pale Ale and Brut IPA. I liked Glory better than For Columbus and I think I'm going to like the American Wheat (even if it's different than Glory) better than a Juicy Pale Ale or Brut IPA too. But I'm willing to give them a try to see if they tickle my fancy. I'm going to try to stop by Land-Grant on Sunday for a tasting.
Crewsmas, Crewsmas time is here Time for joy and time for beer. We can hardly stand the wait, Please Crewsmas don't be late.
Actually, Mook laughs at me over this very thing. Well, and other stuff too. He says that the second something doesn't work exactly as I think it ought to I'm on the phone making threats to someone. He insists that rather than freaking out I could take five minutes to try and think the problem through but that I refuse to try. But then he's annoying.
When will you be starting to tailgate? With the weather forecast improving, my chances of getting to the tailgate area much earlier is looking better and better. Anyone going to that 7 a.m. toast to the season starting? I saw that on social media. I salute those folks. I was trying to participate in the many years-long joke. I meant no offense. I hope you get to many games with him this season, BA. Lucky kid.

Me too and I was starting to have anxiety when I didn't see it on the shelves the last couple weeks and couldn't find any signs of them starting to brew it on social media. It's become a tradition for me to have a Glory on Matchday. I just told myself that Week 1 was a home match so I'd be able to get it there and pick up a sixer prior to the first away match because it would have to be available by then. Initial reaction to the new pilot batches was disappointment. If this was a couple years ago, I'd really worry that an IPA would win. But I think the shine has worn off IPAs and people want something different. Plus an American Wheat won the first time (in 2015 vs a Black Ale, Black Wit, & Golden Ale), I think it has a good chance of winning again. I'd be more worried about a Golden Ale winning since I feel beer drinkers are swinging back towards easy drinking but that's not a competitor this time around. My prediction: juicy pale ale and Brut IPA split the votes of people who want an hoppy beer and Black Lager is just too different to make a difference. American Wheat reigns supreme by getting votes from people who like Glory and people who want something easier to drink. I think if they change the recipe, it will be to make it less hoppier which in my opinion helps it's chances. I'll let you know after I try them out.
Brut IPAs are just a weird trendy new style and it’s really hard to drink a few of them in a row. Unless it’s really good I’m already not even considering a vote for it.
I'm sorry but I can't see "Brut IPA" without thinking they're trying to get me to drink some cheap men's room cologne.
Are they anything like North High's Life? Seeing Brut makes me think champagne. I enjoy Life but would prefer a couple Glorys over a couple Lifes. If Brut IPA is just a trend and not widely popular then I might change my prediction and worry a bit more about juicy pale ale getting votes if it doesn't split the hop vote. And I should note, I'm a few years past my try every beer I can find phase so don't hold my opinions too highly on this stuff. I could be wildly misinformed. I'm more in the know what I like and drink a few of those every once in a while than heading to the local craft beer bar to try new stuff every night.
I've had the Sierra Nevada Brut IPA. It was very dry, as the name implies. It was delicious. If you dont like IPAs, you wont like it.
Red Bull fan here who will be attending the game Saturday. Our teams intentions is to go all out for the Concacaf tournament until eliminated. Therefore, I’d expect to see our USL team play. We do have many twenty somethings in our starting lineup anyway but doubt they’ll play. It’s the same thing we did last year. We beat Portland in our home opener last year with the same B team but I find it hard to believe we could pull that off against a veteran playoff team such as yours. Only chance I see we have is if your team is still learning a new system while our organization teaches our style from top to bottom and we catch you early on. Anyway, glad you’ll be staying in Columbus and that Precourt fiasco is over.
The "old farts" just posted that they'll be back with their annual chili cook-off off in their usual spot in the mega-tailgate area. Bring something to share or just yourself. Vegetarian options available. @Night shift this goes for opposing fans as well. We're generally friendly (it's a two-way street, of course.) We're southwest of the stadium, just across the east-west road with all the big flags and all. There's usually 3-4 different local craft breweries that set up and of course, plenty of food. If you can bring something local to you, that's fine, but not an obligation.
