If I had to bet on where an Italy goal would come from, I would say a Candreva cross. But Sweden are too tall at the back. We're not going to score on them through the long ball unless we get lucky.

    Zaza coming on.

Sturaro and Motta warming up on the sideline. Nice!

if any of you think we dont look like a literal MLS team, you are delusional. The MF is invisible, forwards are constantly flat flooted with bad halfway movement, awful first touches, and terrible passes with no purpose.

Also Giorgio is awful today and I am a Juve fan, he really is over rated.

    The Midfield is trash..

Starting to see Candreva get into the game on the right.

    A little better from italy.

The diving on this team is really pathetic too, the fact that De Rossi is a leader is pathetic.

    Parolo had contributed nothing.

The danger obviously by playing this sitting back holding shit and not attacking is if you go behind it's hard to come back. One mistake, a red, like the Uruguay game and your chasing the game with god knows how much time
Remaining/how many men on the field to do it.

Weak. Negative tactics. Zaza good move though. What are we not good enough to go at Sweden? If you're scared of Sweden you're ******** all.

Sometimes i wish our groups consisted of just star studded teams...i bet we would end first in the group if that group was Italy, Belgium, Spain and Germany

That should have been a straight red against Sweden. Elbow to the ribs with your back to the ball?????

So play it safe and let it come down to the last game. Makes sense. Same old italy. Pathetic. Small nations mentality.

I'm not sure with the fact that 79 out of 81 teams advance with 4 pts is playing it safe.

2 goal differential is not bad either the way the other matches have gone.

I'd take it further. EUFA is not going to allow Italy to win this tournament playing this kind of ****.

We're not really playing it safe. Chiellini has been making offensive runs throughout the half.

The problem is we have no playmaker and Sweden has not been troubled by our crosses and long balls. Our lack of playmakers (and Verratti's injury) is not Conte's fault, but I'm dismayed that Eder is still on the pitch when we have SES and Insigne.

I'm not sure why that should be the goal tho. Especially after the win vs Belgium. Win the group. Play an easier opponent knockout round.

We will struggle to score against any halfway organized defense. Can't expect everyone to fall apart at the back like Belgium

Florenzi has not played well but I don't agree with replacing him with Sturaro. Sturaro should only come on if we have a lead.
