Jesus Pelle's misplaced every single pass today. Good thing Totti's sitting at home.

For all of Conte's tactical brilliance vs. The Belgians, he still hasn't figured out that Eder sucks

If Conte subs in for Pelle I bet Eder plays the full 90. :speechless:

Shittest half of the euros. Absolute ********ing shit. I understand keeping it tight and a draw is all we need but this is horrendous. Sweden have offered nothing, if we went at them like we should be we could make sure of qualification. We've played this defensive " safe " shit in the past and it's came back to bite us. Why leave it until the last game to qualify. Do it now against a mediocre team who have nothing in attack. Zlatan will prob beat us with a moment of magic.

    Disgrace.

Everything Pelle has touched has turned to shit. Bring on Zaza.

Our defense is still solid. I think were playing for the tie.

Sweden will have to come out in the second half. Hopefully this opens up the game and creates some space for us to counter and come ahead.

Get Shaarawy and Insigne in. They can't do any worse than Pelle and Eder.

Parolo, Giaccherini --- have not been able to spring any passes together.

Insane header or a bicycle/back heel/crazy volley haha.

It's never easy with Italy or against Sweden, but our tactics mindset/execution is shit.

Italy are playing like we all feared they would pre Belgium.

We should have played with 3 attackers from minute 1

Another brilliant half by Conte. He's allowed the Swedes to believe they have control of the game. Meanwhile, we look even more structured than we did against Belgium. Masterful. 60 percent of useless possession. Watch us score 2 in the second half.

Pelle's touch isn't there today. Expect Zaza on. Insigne would be useful also.

Our line-up was set up as a counter attacking team.... Vs. A Sweden that doesn't play possession

That's the beauty of it. Let them play a game they don't understand and can't excel at. Meanwhile, we play our game.

    It's brilliant.

True but Sweden will want the 3 points and they'll have to push in the second half which will open up some space for counters hopefully...

Conte's game plan is to let the Swedes have the ball and then we press when then pass the ball to the side, only problem is that when we win it back nobody looks sharp enough to do anything with it. Pelle has not won one header or held the ball up for the midfield runners. Florenzi cant play on the left and Eder and Giaccherini are proving how mediocre they really are. Only upside is that Sweden did nothing with the ball in the first half.

I really don't understand the philosophy of playing for a point.

It's not about making it out of the group...........it should be about topping the group so we have the greatest possible chance of playing a weaker team in the first round of the knockout stages.

Candreva has played well, but if no one gets on the end of his crosses it doesn't really matter.

What makes you think we are trying to impose a style? We lack in quality.

Because Conte has experimented with the 3 attackers. You would think this would be the game to employ an attacking strategy

I dont think we have a choice. We have zero midfield control.
