Italy: Bologna stadium in dire state
Stadio Renato dall'Ara is in need of urgent renovation and maintenance works – TuttoBolognaWeb.it alarms. This majestic old stadium hasn't been taken care of for years and may even be threatening fans safety in some areas.

Is this problem pretty common in the Serie A? No wonder attendances are bad for many Italian teams. Who would want to sit in that stadium to watch a match? It's Disgusting.

Serie A is in need of a major overhaul. Way too many Italian teams play in horrible stadiums. Hopefully with Juventus building thier own beautiful, soccer only stadium,it's going to start the other teams to do the same.

I know that Fiorentina just did some upgrades to thier stadium, but, the stands behind the goals are way to far back from the action on the field.

A lot of Italian clubs are in a similar stadium situation as DC United, except that most don't have the funds to build a new stadium (which DCU does). So basically that entails the city owning the stadium and not willing to maintain it because they know the club doesn't really have anywhere else to go.

Serie A really needs to change the way it does its tv rights and be more like the premiership in England. I'm not really an expert but the tv rights, as they are now, are much more of a club-individual thing, and everyone would benefit financially from a more collective effort.
