Either Team America played above their heads or Juventus was on vacation. From what I recall the experiment to field the United States national team in the old NASL backfired as top players bypassed playing for them and remained with their clubs. The idea to field a national team playing in a league was in my opinion ahead of its time and I think many country’s would benefit by it even now. At the time, the USA wanted to make the 1986 World Cup but sadly the league folded a year later so I’m not sure how much they will have improved had they continued on.

Thanks! Glad you like the pictures... To a point it was relatively expensive. On the other hand, comparing costs of housing and rents in the Silicon Valley and the entire San Francisco Bay Area where I'm from, it really wasn't that bad considering it was in the heart of a renaissance village. Luckily, I had my company that I was working for at the time pay my expenses. All I really paid for was food , clothing and leisure time activities which were fairly reasonable. Here are some more....
