Trez scoops top award

Juventus striker David Trezeguet has been named Player of the Year by his fellow professionals.

The Frenchman, who finished last season as Serie A top scorer with 24 goals as he helped his side lift the Scudetto, was also voted Foreign Player of the Year.

Sometimes I run across highlights of this annual awards show on RAI - typical Italian variety show slash Academy Awards type spectacle. Pretty bizarre, really.

In the middle of the ceremony, Crozza shouted: "Is there anyone from Juve in the audience, excepting the referees?". Following this joke, Moggi, the players and Collina stood up and left the ceremony with a very angry look.

i watched it,very funny.
Gene Gnocchi is a genius,Maurizio Crozza (the guy who impersonated Sacchi and Altafini) irresistible,Simona Ventura a great anchorwoman

mr. Collina felt offended by the fake commercial where he's the testimonial of a scalp treatment that promises guaranteed results in 40 years,and left the studio
he commented that his is a serious disease and many young men are discriminated because of boldness
pretty lame (Collina that is)

That people got up and left is extremely lame. Think of the farce awards shows in America would become if every joke directed at a celebrity was met with a knee jerk reaction!
