My girlfriend and I are traveling to Istanbul in Novemeber and I'd love to take in a game. However, I have a few concerns about safety. There's a Fenerbahce-Galatasaray derby that weekend, which seems a little intense, so I was thinking about the Kasimpasa match. While I wouldn't think of taking my girlfriend to the derby, would there be any issues in bringing her to Kasimpasa? Any other thoughts advice? Also, any tips on best source for tickets? Thanks!
Just don't go to the place where the hooligans of the 2 clubs, GFB and Ultraslan, are sitting. It used to be dangerous but now the police are intensively controlling the hooligans and other fanatic supporters, so it's safe enough I guess. I'd rather go to Derbi than to the Kasimpasa match to be honest, the difference in atmosphere is huge. The tickets can be purchased at Biletix
Hi! I've got the same question. Just checked the fixture for 13-14 season, and there is a game between besiktas-galatasaray on 22th septepmerer! I can't find any tickets on Belitix. does that mean it's already all sold out or they don't sell tickets yet? if it's all sold out, is there anyway that i can purchase tickets online or offline?
Don't waste your time by going to the FB-GS game. Those games are always over hyped and almost always very stressful and boring. Plus tickets will be very expensive. Otoh, Kasimpasa has some decent players and maybe a better game to go to. Keep in mind that their stadium is terrible but on the plus side ticket prices should be very cheap.
Stressful and boring? Lol You must be a BJK supporter. FB vs GS is always a derby with much excitement and is considered as the most important match of the season in turkey.
So am I and it's only stressful in Saraçoglu, where we couldn't beat them for more than 10 years and where Fenev supporters are celebrating their fictive 6-0-prize (while we were winning real prizes) ever since.
