Yeah, Colautti missed practically the whole season. Film, I don't disagree about the conservativeness of all the managers we have had, but we shouldn't give away chances for Barda, Itzhaki, Benayoun etc. for a bunch of kids with flair. Kids also make mistakes. That is why I propose involving them over time through substitutions and I am sure that that is what Kashtan will do. But if he doesn't call any of them up, there is no reason they can't play for the under-21s. I hate that we don't call them up for the lower team once they join the full side.

This is obviously not a team that can compete today, though it would be fun to watch all those kids on display at home again Luxembourg. Even this young squad should have no problem beating up on Lux, especially with all the energy all these kids would bring.

For the future (EC'12, EC'16 and WC'14), the team looks pretty strong, probably the best team Israel has ever fielded if most of the kids more or less fulfill their potential.

When the Euro championship expands to 24 teams in 2016, the kids will be in their prime and I don't see any reason why Israel won't make it.

In 2010 WCQ, Israel has an easy group as we all know. Nobody of course knows what kind of group it will get in 2014, but I suspect that the team will be strong enough to be in the second pool so it will again get a decent draw though instead of Greece, it would have France or Spain or Germany in the group. Still better than the draws it had to deal with when it was in the 4th pool and had to take on 3 teams ranked above it, rather than the one higher ranked team.

With the infusion of youth, Israel will have a good shot at it in 2014.

At this point, I'd be willing to bet money that Israel will make it into the WC either in 2010 or 2014.

what about Pini Balili, Toto Tammuz and Gai Assulin? I'm glad to see Salim Toama back on the team.

Who's going to start for Israel?

Gai Assulin is with the under-21 side. I believe that Toto Tammuz is still coming off injury, even though he played for Beitar. Pini Balili hasn't made any headlines in Turkey. Unfortunately for him, he needs them in order to get a call-up.

    How to get Tickets?

Are there still tickets availible for Saturday's game? I can't read Hebrew so not really sure how to order them. Also, how would I get from the central bus station (would be taking a sherut from Jerusalem to Tel Aviv) to the stadium? Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated! :)

    Re: How to get Tickets?

Yeah, so you have to take the bus to Tel Aviv's central station or Arlozorov Train Station. From the Tel Aviv central station, take bus number 67 to the stadium. You will see other people waiting for the bus. If you go to the train station, take a train to the Bnei Brak station. It is walking distance to the stadium.

To order a ticket in advance, you will have to go to or call the Leaan ticket office in Tel Aviv (03-5247373). One of their offices is right off of Dizingoff. You can arrange with them to pick the ticket up at the stadium on the day of the game, or you can go to the ticket office to buy the ticket in advance.

No, you can't gamble on him for this match. Let him play against Luxembourg or Moldova. We need to win every match at home.

Is it a big handicap for you that Gal Alberman won't be available for this important game?

He played superbly against Bremen (you don't get a rating of 1.5 very often from "Kicker"), but apparently was substituted after 75 minutes due to injury (initially, I thought due to exhaustion).

Yes, Alberman is a huge loss to the squad. What is the seriousness of his injury?
