    P.s.

Tonight they will be saying goodbye to Haim Revivo and all that he has done for the national side. Also, they finally put in wireless internet in Ramat Gan stadium. Man, in every other field we seem to be pretty advanced. Except for football.

    Chef?

I just noticed that in the France picture they have Chef Boyardee with them! Israel doesn't have a chef, they have Itzik who makes the guys מעורב ירושלמי and פרגיות before the matches. Usually you can find him at Shipudei haTikva in Tel-Aviv.

I tried to circle him, though you might not see it

    Re: Chef?

Thank goodness for chef boyardee :)

    Everyteam needs a chef....
remember that incident with Israel vs. Austria....
They literally didn't come cause of the fear that a kosher kitchen would be closed on shabbat.

So here here, the Embassy of Austria in Ramat Gan to the rescue :)

I don't understand what their complaint was about. I do remember that I tried to enter their hotel the night before the match but I was denied entrance. I was just trying to give them one of these:

It was so that they wouldn't go hungry. Battle food if you will.

    Starters

Israel manager Avraham Grant has released his starting line. He has chosen to go with a 4-3-3 formation like the one used during the second half against the Republic of Ireland:

GK - Dudu Aouate (Real Racing de Santander [ESP])

Def - Klimi Saban (Hapoel Petah Tikva)

Def - Shimon Gershon (Hapoel Tel-Aviv)

Def - Tal Ben Haim (Bolton Wanderers [ENG])

Def - Adoram Keisi (Hapoel Petah Tikva)

Mid - Walid Badir (Maccabi Haifa)

Mid - Idan Tal (Maccabi Haifa)

Mid - Avi Nimni (Beitar Jerusalem)

For - Yaniv Katan (Maccabi Haifa)

For - Yossi Benayoun (Real Racing de Santander [ESP])

For - Pini Balili (Kayserispor [TUR])

So Omri Afek (Salamanca [ESP]) will be on the bench, and Saban will replace him. I think that the bookmakers are giving Israel a 4.50 if they beat France. I wanted to make our squad look even better by putting the best clubs that each of them played for, but that would only be Walid Badir, Avi Nimni, and Idan Tal. Though they didn't even play, and they weren't at the clubs for very long.

I still think that Barukh Dago should be playing in this match. I guess I am just an equal opportunity kind of guy. Didn't his mother find a document that he was born in 1984? He should have played for the U-21 side yesterday.

    WOW (Not Oppie and Anthony)

Wow, the resemblance is eery! They might be cousins trapped by the border between France and Italy.

FIFA's WC site will have the game on "MatchCast", the link is the orange button about half way down the page just right of center. Not as good as TV or radio, but much better then nothing.

    Good luck to Israel.

Wiltord denied a great goal by the Israeli keeper. Too bad.

You might be waiting for a while...... Domench is a dumass for putting 3 defensive midfielders on the pitch. What the hell is he doing?
