This is the official thread of the 2004/05 transfer market in Israel. Here you may post the rumors, deals, signings, and releases of any Israeli player or club. This week ex-Brescia midfielder Tal Banin will reveal to Bnei Yehuda Tel-Aviv manager, Nitzan Shirazi, what his plans are regarding next season. Hezi Shirazi and Nir Sevilia have both retired, and more players are expected to be released. Maccabi Netanya midfielder, Ravid Gazal, is confused to say the least of where he will be next season. He says that his heart is at Maccabi Netanya but his head is still a little confused.
Hapoel Petah Tikva: Agreed to terms with Omer Boksenboim for 2 years. Just a note for those who already forgot, Boksenboim was one of Hapoel Ramat Gan's best players in their cup season and was signed by Maccabi Haifa. Boksenboim played in only 3 league games this season, ending up being another one of Haifa's failed signings (quite a few of those this season). Hapoel Beer Sheva: Agreed to terms with Nir Zvieli of Achi Nazereth. Maccabi Tel Aviv: Andzej Kubica was released from the club and probably will not return to Israeli football.
This season is seeing a list of players retiring during and at the end of it. Here's a list: Haim Revivo (although retired will play at the last match of the season) Alon Hazan Nir Sivilia Hezi Shirazi Sharon Tzofin Gadi Brumer Eyal Avramov More names to be added!
Question(if this doesn't belong here,be free to delete or move it,ok?^^): Bnei Sakhnin want to buy players seeing next season?Since they are now on UEFA Cup...if someone have any rumour...
Eventually, they will buy new players. Some players might also go, so it is hard to see. Right now, there is alot to think here. Bnei Shachnin was a few points off relegation and they were lucky to win the state cup. Just as Hapoel Ramat Gan did last year. The only problem here is that Hapoel Ramat Gan was in a lower leauge and weren't experienced. They actually did ok playing against the Bulgarian (i forget) side in UEFA,but lost. and now they are relegated once again... I don't think Bnei Shacnin want to repeat what Hapoel Ramat Gan had. So i think they will purchase some new players, both from domestic leauges...perhaps with some experience like Tal Banin...and from international...from Europe and Latin America...perhaps Brazil
Alon Hazan Alon Hazan has not retired. He is going under the knife to repair his ankle and then he will make his decision. He is wanted by Maccabi Tel-Aviv and has not given any word on whether he is quiting football.
Maccabi Haifa making changes in the back The 2003/04 Ligat ha'Al (Premier League) champions are making some changes already to their back line. Ori Uzan is leaving Maccabi Netanya for the first time in his entire life for the greener pastures. According to Maccabi Haifa, Uzan has agreed to a three year contract. Maccabi Tel-Aviv, disappointed to see Uzan sign with Haifa has said that they are not worried and will have a strong side next season hoping that ex-Watford defender and current Ashdod captain, Alon Hazan will sign with the Tel-Aviv side. Meanwhile, Adoram Keisi is leaving Maccabi Haifa after eight seasons at the club. He is currently in negotiations with Hapoel Petah Tikva.
Bnei Sakhnin Bnei Sakhnin is definently going to be looking for new players because they had many players at the club this year who were only on loan. The best one, by far, was Lior Asulin who was on loan from Maccabi Herzliya. The problem though is money. Sakhnin has a real shoestring budget and relies alot on donations. If the $1M that was promised to the club from an Arab Israeli business man, from Kfar Kasem but now lives in London, England, goes through, the club might be able to secure some new players. If memory serves me right, some business men offered the club to do its preseason training in Dubai, United Arab Emirates but it has yet to be seen whether that is serious too. The club seems to want to hold on to Gabriel Lima but he his going to demand a better salary. Abbas Suan could also find himself at another club for the money that Sakhnin could get for him. It will be interesting to see how this will play out. Bnei Sakhnin deserved to win the State Cup. They played better than Hapoel Haifa. Maybe they got lucky to be in the final.
hapoel beer sheva eli gutman is going to try to get elad bonfeld to stay at the club after the holiday. bonfeld has almost finished completing his terms with maccabi tel-aviv. asi rahamim might be on his way out when he rejected a new contract that is 30% less than the one he has now. rahamim is looking into offers from ashdod, maccabi p-t, and hapoel haifa. shuki nagar is also looking at his options.
Theres always good players Yossi Benayoun is rumoured to leave his spanish side, Racing Santander and move to either Liverpool or Tottenham. Its not all decided yet.... There is other rumours linking him to Spanish Side Mallorca as well as Deportivo.. so we will see in the summer, perhaps!
As KYHS mentioned i am repeating what he said, but with a prelude!!! Hapoel Petah Tikva: Aduram Keisi signed in the club for a season with option for more. So that completes his 8 year stint with the club....lots of highs and lows.... meanwhile, Maccabi Haifa: Agreed to terms with Ori Uzan. Nice move there!
Hehe,I like the idea about brazilian players everywhere. Also Israel too...since we know 1 or 2 things between technique and application,I think we can give a hand to all leagues.I'm happy to see Gabriel Lima playing at Bnei Sakhnin, but of couse he had some problems...with culture, language, but's ok. If somemone see any rumour about new brazilian players moving to Israel,I would be grateful That's bad. After a so-so campaign at Israel League,Sakhnin have the "common problems" of any small club in World.I hope that if they get the cash,at least the squad can stay at same quality.I want to see Bnei Sakhnin doing well on UEFA Cup...
Maccabi Haifa: Macedonia international striker Dragan Cadikovski, has FINALLY signed a three-year contract with Maccabi Haifa!! Maccabi Haifa: Hapoel Petach Tikva's Najwan Grayeb has also signed a 2 year term with Maccabi Haifa, whom he will replace Adrom Keisi, who moved to Hap. P.T (MAVET LE Najwan Grayeb!!! TRAITOR!!!!! KOOS IMMA SHELCHA!! :fero Hapoel Petach Tikva: Intrested in Signing Arik Benado from Mac. Haifa. Benado's talks with Maccabi Haifa fell and he may be in persuit to talk with other clubs like Hap. Petach Tikva. Maccabi Haifa: Intrested in aquiring some players from the relegated squad of Maccabi Netanya! Ismail Adu and Ravid Ghazal are on the table, while Maccabi is also intrested to get Hapoel Haifa's Haim Mugrashvilli as well...
Gabriele Lima actually has an Israeli Girlfriend and wanted to get Israeli citizenship and play in the National Team (maybe become jewish ) anyways, i will tell you. The season has ended, and there is alot of fresh rumours popping up everywhere... Many Israeli scouts and managers always (nowadays) go to South America and Eastern Europe to find many potential players... i hope they will get some promising brazilians... but most brazilians, have been good...some have been so so.. like my team, Beitar... we expected alot for the Indio Fareira,Andre Caldeira and especially Carlos Capone...but who knows! Something wicked will pop out soon, no?
Maccabi Tel-Aviv Maccabi Tel-Aviv's Ghanian trialist, Bernard Dong Bortey, has been sent back to Ghana after he was accused of stealing money and Reuven Oved's watch from the Maccabi Tel-Aviv locker room. The club first received the complaint and were baffled as to what happened. Then they decided to tell John Pentsil that they were taking his vehicle to the Israeli version of the DMV for an inspection. In the back of the car were his countrymen's personal belongings including the stolen money inside the football boots and clothing. When the club asked John Pentsil what happened, he was shocked and took Mr. Bortey to the club to confess. Bortey denied all claims and so John Pentsil decided to tell him that they have cameras in the locker room and that the truth will be revealed. Bortey broke out into tears and continued to deny everything. John Pentsil told Israeli media that he was shocked by the actions of Mr. Bortey and that he has now given a bad name to Ghanian players in Israel. John Pentsil and Bernard Dong Bortey both from Ghana are friends from the Ghanian Olympic team. Pentsil was signed by Maccabi Tel-Aviv in 2002 and has played thirty-nine(39) Ligat ha'Al (Premier League) matches for the club tallying just two(2) assists. Hapoel Be'er Sheva midfielder, Elad Bonfeld, had discussions with manager Eli Gutman but has told him that he must leave Be'er Sheva if he wanted to progress in his career and that his intentions are to make a move to Maccabi Tel-Aviv. So a Brasilian looks to be on his way out in Israel while a manager is going to Brasil to look for a striker. Interesting... All the information posted by Kappa18 was from the Ha'aretz English language website. He forgot to mention that the information was only reported by Haifa weekly, Kolbo, and is not official. All four foreign players on Hapoel Petah Tikva will be released and the club will be scouting for players in Ghana and Brasil in the coming weeks.
I'll try to find something about that here...the problem that's usually clubs from "different leagues" buy players from 2nd or 3rd Brazilian Division,so I have to seach a little more.Anyway, worst for Sakhnin, since Lima is a well-rounded striker.
Maccabi Netanya Maccabi Netanya is already starting preparations for next season with one goal: promotion. The club has started from the back signing Bnei Sakhnin's Sagi Strauss at 'keeper. Avi Ivgi was also scouted but the chairman wanted Strauss because he is in better form as of late. Defender Amir Shelah will probably not stay at the club for next season. The club would like to bring in Itzik Zohar to strengthen their midfield. Asi Tubi is also wanted by Reuven Atar. Interesting enough, Ori Uzan apparently is going on loan to Maccabi Haifa for three seasons and will cost Haifa $50,000 a seasons for his services.
Abed Rabah According to Bnei Sakhnin, they are very close to signing Hapoel Petah Tikva's Arab Israeli player, Abed Rabah, to a three year contract.
Ynet.co.il According to Hebrew daily, Yediot Aharonot, Maccabi Tel-Aviv is taking an Israeli that has been living in America on trial. According to the report, the player is Rotem Eliezer and it says that he is 21 years old and has lived in America since his family left Israel. I could not find anything on him when I searched his name so I have no clue where in the U.S. he has been playing all this time.
Hapoel Tel-Aviv In the coming days, Hapoel Tel-Aviv manager, Gili Landau will go into talks with Guy Tsarfati and Ravid Gazal about a possible transfer to the reds.
Tidbits According to Ma'ariv, Salam Abu Siam and Maccabi Tel-Aviv are not seeing eye to eye on his new contract and there are huge differences between the two. Maccabi Tel-Aviv also has so far not offered Gal Filian a new contract at the club. Eli Gutman has told the Hapoel Be'er Sheva management to buy Diego Siston. Gutman will soon be on his way to Romania to start his search for new players in Eastern Europe. Some of the players he is looking at are from Dinamo Bucharest. After Romania, he will move on to Poland. I have to make some corrections to the Bernard Dong Bortey story. Reuven Oved's watch was never found and the money stolen was NIS 3,000 (US $658.73) from Brasilian Bruno Reyes. The story has now broke out in Ghana which has tarnished the players reputation after he was the leading league goal scorer in Ghana last year and one of the big talents of the Olympic side. Avi Nimni has been worried that Beitar Jerusalem just does not have the funds to pay his salary for next year which stands at NIS 2.3M (US $505.33K). Chairman, Meir Fenigel has reassured Nimni that the club would never give up on him. It looks like the big three (Maccabi Haifa, Hapoel Tel-Aviv, Maccabi Tel-Aviv) is having second thoughts about signing national teamer Ravid Gazal as Maccabi Netanya is requesting $300K for a transfer. Nir Davidovic's performance against Georgia in a friendly has caught the attention of two Spanish scouts who were at the match. Scouts from Dinamo Moscow and Spartak Moscow who came to watch Georgian players, left with great impressions by Yossi Benayoun, Idan Tal, Tal Ben Haim, and Nir Davidovic.
Ashraf Suliman Maccabi Ahi Nazareth star, Ashraf Suliman, has confirmed on his return to Israel with the national team, that Beitar Jerusalem is interested in his services. Suliman would become the first Arab Israeli player to play at Beitar Jerusalem. Though he his also being pursued by Bnei Sakhnin, who looks as though they are trying to fill every open position with Arab Israeli stars from other clubs.
