Haifa went ahead after only four minutes when Yaniv Katan, who missed Sunday's game because of a family wedding, sent the ball wide to Levi who caught the Ramat Gan `keeper off his line and sent a chip from the edge of the penalty area into the net. Haifa went 2-0 up in the 15th minute after Omer Buxenbaum, who made the move from Ramat Gan to Kiryat Eliezer over the summer, headed an Eran Levi corner past his former teammates. Ten minutes later, Drajan Elian pulled a goal back for Ramat Gan with a 20-meter blast. Levi sealed the result two minutes before the final whistle with another long-range effort. Ashdod took the lead in the 20th minute on a Shai Holtzman penalty after David Revivo was brought down in the box by Shimon Gershon. Hapoel pressed for an equalizer, but it took the team well into the second half before it managed to break down the Ashdod defense. In the 76th minute, Rueben Solchaga latched on to a Yossi Rosen cross and chipped the ball over Ashdod's Polish `keeper Radoslav Maidan. Eight minutes later, Solchaga found the net again, but the Argentinian striker was ruled offside. Ashdod leads Group 3 with six points ahead of Hapoel Tel Aviv and Maccabi Herzliya with five.
