Holy Smoke, ISRAEL is embarking upon a more aggressive approach to the war on terror that will include staging targeted killings in the United States and other friendly countries, former Israeli intelligence officials told United Press International more story Mossad Any thoughts?
I don't think that targeted assassination in friendly countries is the way to go. This certainly won't help their international popularity.
What international popularity? Israel is pretty much in it alone, so they feel they gotta take drastic measures. The U.S. should do ALMOST anything we have to to protect our relationship with Israel.
http://www.indymedia.org.il/imc/israel/webcast/47340.html Phil Stoddard, former director of the Middle East Institute, cited a botched plot to kill Ali Hassan Salemeh, the mastermind of the 1972 Munich Olympics massacre. The 1974 attempt severely embarrassed Mossad when the Israeli hit team mistakenly assassinated a Moroccan waiter in Lillehammer, Norway. Than they said "oops, got the wrong man, pardon", but the innocent waiter didn't resurrect. The same when they send a missile to a building with a lot of apartments to kill one terrorist and they kill dozen ppl, children included. The targeted killings are fuel for hawks in both parts. Hamas is quite happy because they actually feed with hate. sharon is happy because the more the palestinians choose the fight the more he can beat.
It is a matter of public policy that Mossad will go after anyone who has assisted in the war against Israel, regardless of who, where or how. They've pulled off some spectacular assassinations (I'm using the word "spectacular" in terms of their intricacy, not their joy quotient) in France and Germany, and as noted earlier they've botched a few. But the idea is not unlike the Bush doctrine with regards to terrorism -- it doesn't matter what you did or where you did it, if you're an enemy of the state you will be hunted. If Bush had intelligence reports that OBL was sunning himself in Cannes, Marines and CIA agents would be on the beach of the French Riviera before the call could be made to Chirac to ask for permission. If you don't like the Mossad strategy, then you should be against the US strategy, too.
well we could do what they do, follow the Talmud and make it eye for an eye. That means picking a random Israeli in the US and executing them. Sounds pretty psychotic doesnt it? hmm, and were still funding this regime? Also i wonder how Israel would feel if Putin sent FSB agents into Tel Aviv to execute wanted mob bosses who the Israelis refuse to hand over .Some of these guys are also wanted in the US, UK and other western nations. And these guys are just as bad , if not worse then many supposed terrorists on Israels "hit list"
israel = state terrorism everybody is talking about iraq bs, israel has wmd's (nukes, gas etc) they can not be trustet in any way....killed british and american soldiers/sailors before and would do it again, to defend there interest.....not to mention unbelivable amounts of women and kids, enough already, enough with the ever powerful growing and influencial jewish lobby in the usa, uncover the connections!!!!! unveile the fact that the usa covers/protects israel in no matter what...and blocks every uno resolution agasint israel.....btw, every normal thinking person knows that this is the biggest reason that arabs, islamics hate the usa and nothing else....
zion terrorism at its best, zion terrorism on the rise. bush and his talk about harbouring terrorists, he's harbouring israel.
I guess this is why Osama put the plight of the Palestinians at the top of his list of why he attacked the US. Wait, my mistake, it was down there below us having troops in Saudi Arabia, and us not being a Muslim nation. Did I mention how much I love illiterate anti-Semites? Because I do! I love them to the little bits they turn into when their knapsacks explode. Is there, like, a 1-to-1 correlation between railing about the Jews controlling the United States and being unable to spell "cat" given the "c", the "a", a six month deadline, a $100,000 government grant and a cattle prod up the ass, or is it just me?
I don't have a problem with it. Israel has the right to ensure their own national security just like every other nation. Besides, if someone that the Mossad wants dead is hiding out in the US, they're going to kill him whether they have our permission or not. If we help them, it makes accidents like the Moroccan waiter far less likely to happen here. Alex
Did the founding fathers of Israel not use violence ( many might say terror) to achieve their objective? It is not as if Israel won the state in monopoly.
