Isn't there a press conference in Houston today?

This is not that unusual in other sports in the US. I don't see how having the fans have a voice in naming the team is indicative of anything negative on MLS.

Yeah but this is MLS. Just means they'll write the name on construction paper with magic marker and paste it onto the front of the jersey.

The Astros used to be the Colt .45s and the Houston Gamblers were a USFL team. And I believe Apollo was the name of a New York soccer team in American Soccer League.

I still think Houston Apollo is a cool name. And it ties into the new push for missions to the moon.

    Carryball, as mentioned already
    Tackleball
    Egg-shaped ball

    Anyway....

I actually like the term Wanderers... I don't know if it rolls off the tongue well as "Houston Wanderers" but it's got at least some promise for a future team, down the road....

To me they will always be Los Caballeros Gayos.

Otherwise known (with all due respect) as the Brokeback Mountain Boys.

For the life of me I couldn't figure out what you were saying.

It's gallo, double L, unless you were trying to distort/deconstruct the spelling in order to connect it to _Brokeback Mountain_. How postmodern of you. ;)
