Well, to be fair....SL Benfica has historic ties to the islands, especially the Acores. Look up Santa Clara, and read about their history.
I don't know what you guys are on about. I can see Madeira being predominantly Sporting but from my experience and from what i've read, Azores is mostly Benfiquista. Especially the Island of Sao Miguel.
