If you insist Liverpool view Bayern Munich's Michael Olise, 23, as a possible replacement for Egypt's Mohamed Salah, 33, and are prepared to break the bank to sign the France forward. (Fichajes in Spanish)
When a club can amortize a deal over 5 years then even a 100m deal may only cost 20 m in fees this season so I guess we might be able to do business in Jan.
I've convinced myself that we'll bring Guehi in in Jan even though waiting could save a wad of cash. if the idea that Slot really wants to go 3-5-2 is accurate, he sure as shit won't want to wait much longer to get that in place.
I'm reading us linked to numerous cb's and we really do need some help in that position so I'm expecting we'll get someone in . Not sure who tho.
I see all those CB links as the club trying to plant seeds of "don't push too hard on the fee - we have a lot of options" in CP minds. or maybe just the usual clickbait idiots.
I think we are definitely after a centerback. We had Guehi signed to be part of the same squad as Van Dijk and Konate. That was before Leoni got hurt and Konate’s form fell off a cliff. So there is definitely a need for one and probably two. Konate hasn’t signed a new contract, and it’s questionable whether we still want him to. Virgil needs a long term successor. Gomez almost moved in the summer. We also need a versatile left footer who can play both centerback and left back. However, I don’t think Slot plans to play a back 3. At least not in the traditional sense of having wingbacks on both sides. That leaves us an attacker short.
With Mohamed Salah due to play for Egypt at the Africa Cup of Nations in December and January, Liverpool continue to be linked with a January move for Bournemouth's 25-year-old forward Antoine Semenyo, whose country Ghana failed to qualify. (Liverpool Echo) Liverpool are planning a serious bid for AZ Alkmaar's 19-year-old Netherlands midfielder Kees Smit. (Soccer News via TeamTalk)
🚨 Bournemouth may be powerless to prevent Antoine Semenyo sale in January. Contract includes £65m release clause - available to all clubs but must be triggered by set date so #AFCB get time to replace. Applies again in summer at lower price @TheAthleticFC https://t.co/jKz4rcH6qF— David Ornstein (@David_Ornstein) November 17, 2025 We should sign him. He can play left and right. He has pace and can take on defenders. He gets goals and assists. He would replace a lot of what was lost with Diaz.
Liverpool's hopes of signing Antoine Semenyo, 25, from Bournemouth in the January transfer window have been dealt a blow with the Cherries unwilling to sell the Ghana winger during the season. (Teamtalk)
Liverpool are leading the race to sign Bournemouth and Ghana forward Antoine Semenyo, 25, but Tottenham cannot be discounted. (Teamtalk) Barcelona are closely monitoring Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi, 25, but Liverpool are still favourites to sign the England international. (Cadena SER - in Spanish)
Crystal Palace believe only Liverpool may attempt to buy Marc Guehi, 25, in January, with the England defender out of contract and available as a free agent next summer. (Sky Sports)
