Does any one know if FIFA has made any contingency plans in case Isabel decides to visit DC or Philadelphia next weekend?

    Buy a rainslicker.

Unless there's a power outage or field flooding, the games will be played.

In 160 mph winds? I do not think so.

The day there are 160 mph winds at RFK or Philly is the first day of the apocalypse.

30-50 mph winds with rain? Game on.

Fran was one of the biggest storms to hit the east coast. It hit it at a very high rate of speed. It was still marginally a hurricane when it hit Durham. By the time it got to Virginia, sustained winds were below 40mph.

It's going to be windy and wet in Philadelphia, and it may be very nasty for those of us coming from the south to get there. I wouldn't be surprised to see some flights canceled, but the games will go on.
