i don't know what this is arguing, that some players are NOT better than others?

some kids excel some don't, it's not their sport, of course everyone can benefit from a better mindset but there is always hierarchy

    1. always reward and praise efforts over results.
    2. nurture kid self-esteem is crucial
    3. pecking is a bias to watch out

It is a not a good article per se. I mean man, in order to get results you have to train on a regular basis. Apparently, some young players train more, train smarter than the others and get better results. In such discussions I always recall the path of Michael Phelps training (I know, he is not a soccer player) regarding his training routines, grit and discipline.
