Is this a last chance year?

Seriously, after this season, we stand a good chance of losing both Mathis and Pope. Depending on which way the rumor mill swings we could lose Howard to a European sale. You never know with Moreno (lots of little injuries pile up after awhile). Do you all see this as the first year of a rebuilding cycle or our last chance at a title run before said rebuilding cycle?

I definately think it's a go for it all type year. With the acquisition of a lot of these players, we will be in deep trouble next year.

What is encouraging though is that we drafted some supposedly good young talent. If that works out, we can have a relatively solid foundation to build on in the next few years.

Its neither, its the beginning of a solid season for Metro. We had a a terriffic draft, and we have a solid core of players who will return and a #10 of the like that the league has not seen since Nowak signed in 1998. Metro became a storied franchise when they dealt Faria for Bradley last year.

Considering how the MLS was last year, with teams jockeying up and down for positions like crazy (not to mention how it was almost impossible for anyone to win more than two games in a row), even a rebuilding year can be a year a team could cop a title. Don't write the season off if anyone mentions the word 'rebuilding.' They may simply be lowering expectations while fully realizing we could make a lot of noise.
