is there anywhere in the Dallas area that can customize an FC Dallas jersey on the spot? Nobody seems to be able to do this... have to send it off and wait weeks.

PHP needs to get the stupid heat press already.

The one by PHP said they have to send off for it... they have the jersey's and a heat press, but not the correct style letters/numbers I guess.

    I'm calling Soccer Corner now....

    :)

Call the Soccer Corner in Lewisville and ask for Megan. She's an Infernite since 2005 who will help you out.

That is correct about Soccer City. It took two weeks for me to get my Toja jersey made because they had to have the numbers /names sent in from California. They do have some non-FCD jersys already done, they had a Henry jersey when I was there.

ok, Soccer Corner has a kit to do Ruiz, but not the one I need.... I wanted to get my daughter a Nunez jersey as she'll get to meet him after the game Sunday and she's a fan of his. Soccer Corner said they could order the kit to do #10 and it would take two weeks to get here.

I guess I can get a blank jersey that she can have autographed on Sunday, and get it customized later on

So I'll have to wait two weeks to get my wife a Toja jersey too... That's who she likes!

It might be less now, I bought mine before the season started so I assume I was the only one asking for one. Surely they would buy some to have in stock, no?

Yeah I haven't talked to them in awhile so she probably moved.

Try the Southlake store FCD-Fan, because Megan really knows her stuff and she can probably get you the hook up.

who is this infamous "Megan" you speak of? I hear she's pretty hot...

    haha, i amuse myself...

Anyway, I work at the store in Southlake now (and we have yet to get a heat press at our store. and prolly wont have one for quite a while)

but to get to your question, yes, it probably will take 2 weeks. high profile players like ruiz, as well as other teams' high profile players we'll order extras for. We just dont get requests for players like nunez, or even cooper, enough to order several sets. (plus, they cost $20 per kit TO US, so we want to keep the ordering to a minumum)

As for the fact that we have to get them california, well, the company has a monopoly on creating the exact replica numbers from MLS, EPL, and other leagues. Its a pain in the ass, but its not our fault.

with all of that said and done, thanks for Heidi and Daniel for recommending me :D

I don't want to sound creepy, because I've never met her, but I do know who ski cap girl is and she is in fact quite hot.

Last year Soccer City in Plano put my boy's name on a jersey while we waited. It took about 15 minutes.

You would be hot as well if you chose to wear a wool cap in August.

not exactly what your looking for, but I just saw this website that is selling autographed jerseys from the KC match. Kinda expensive if you ask me.

yeah, I saw that the other day... they do start out with a high price. I attended the March 11th Lamar Hunt Cup game, and bought a Roberto Mina 'shirt off their back' jersey for $90. It was the jersey he wore in the game, I met him afterwards and he signed it on the spot. Sure, a Ruiz jersey got a higher price than what I got, but I just can't see spending $250 for one...

especially when MLS players are so accessible, it would be different if this were NFL.

    exactly!

It may not be 'game worn' but I can pick up a jersey and get it signed fairly easy.

it was actually pretty cool and I wish they would do this at more games...

but at the Lamar Hunt preseason game in March, the whole game was to raise money for charity... all the concession money, advertisor money, etc. went to charity. So they also had a thing where there was a silent auction that ended at the kickoff for the second half... There were quite a few jersey's that had the minimum bid on them, $50 I think. Well, my wife is a fan of Mina, and I don't think he's all that bad either... so we bid on his jersey, and ended up paying 90 for it. I think Ruiz's jersey got 200 or more... and Nunez was 150 or 200 I think. Anyway, they closed the auction at the end of halftime, so I got a pass to go down to the entrance to the locker room area after the game. He took the shirt off, signed it and posed for a picture with my daughter (on the right) and her friend.

I only had my cheap phone camera with me that day....

It was a little wet when he gave it to us... and it stunk once it dried out... I've washed and worn it several times, and wear it to every game.

There was only 6,000 in attendance that day, so prices on the jersey's didn't get too high. Looking back, I wish I had bought a few jersey's that day...
