Keisuke Honda (CSKA Moscow) and Yuki Abe (Leicester, ) are nearly done deals according to ESPN. Honda is pure class and will create new commercial opportunities if we get him. Abe has been quite good for Leicester but a puzzling signing if true, definitely a "squad player". These aren't done deals yet but Honda would be a great catch for us, a typically selfless Asian player who would always give 100%, is one of the best setpiece specialists in football, and is a great talent. But expect a mad summer full of "done deals" that never happen.
Japan wasn't half bad at the world cup, I remember Honda specifically being a set piece expert.... Something we do not have
