okay, i know there is a 'words you're sick of hearing' thread about the war but i need to start this, partially for my own benefit... how many times does a media member have to ask the 'exact' same question, be it to ari fleischer at the white house, people at centcom, or to the president of the united states? i just wonder b/c i am sick of hearing the same question asked at every single press briefing; be it in the same words or another reporting changing words and asking the same damn question which gets the exact same answer. do they think in the middle of a press briefing the answer is gonna change? anyway, just annoying.
90% of the time, you know exactly what Ari Fleischer is going to say when you ask him a question. But until he says what you know he's going to say, you can't quote him on it.
Re: Re: is the media stupid? Sure, but they keep asking "how long" etc. when there is no way of knowing. Then the press sees this as a "lack of timing and organization." They don't understand the fluidity of war, and really should just lay off.
Re: Re: is the media stupid? true. which i understand, and asking him once in a briefing is okay...but why do different reporters need to ask the same question over and over again. they know the same answer is coming but yet they ask? i just don't get it.
Re: Re: Re: is the media stupid? They enjoy watching him continually dodge questions in new and inventive ways. It ought to be an Olympic sport!
Re: Re: Re: Re: is the media stupid? Fine ask the same redundant, unanswerable question. But don't expect an answer.
Re: Re: Re: is the media stupid? Two reasons: a) the media are stupid b) If the Bumbletree Gazette gets one word from Ari in their answer that he didn't give the Bumbletree Times, they can pimp their story as an "exclusive."
