most everyone agrees that EA has turned into crap the past few years but Sega Sports has stepped up.

NFL 2k3 was the first serious contender to Madden's dominance. Many swear up and down that NL2k3 was as good or better than Madden. Next year I think NFL2k4 will be unanimously better.

NBA2k3 is widely regarded by basketball fans as the est basketball videogame ever made. Basketball junkies evere NBA 2k3 the way we worship Konamis soccer games.

The Virtua Tennis series has the most addictive gameplay of any tennis game on the market.

World Series Baseball 2k3 is pretty close to perfection. Many websites and magazines rank this as the best baseball game on the market.

I've never played NHL 2k3 but it seems to get favorable reviews.

They are rumored to be working on a soccer game, and if thier previous work is any meter of how good it will, Sega could very well rival Konami when the game comes out.

So is it time for EA to concede that Sega is now the kings of sports software?

I know it is not what you are referring to, but Sega did put out "Sega Soccer Slam" which received very good reviews. I own it for the xbox and find it to be a sweet party-type game.

i always thought konami was best at producing soccer and baseball (only in japan) and ea was best at hokey and football.

as for the baseball game, unlike reviewers from other magazines, gameinformer rated as following

    mlb slugfest2004------------ 6
    mlb 2004 ------------------6.5
    world series baseball 2k3--- 6.75
    HH 2004------------------- 7
    MVP Baseball 2003--------- 9.25

so is wsb2k3 really the best as some other reviers say or gameinformer just doesn't know how to rate a game?
