Minnesota Thunder? Atlanta Silverbacks? Carolina Railhawks? Rochester Rhinos? Tama Bay Rowies? ROWIES?!?!?! Come on, if NASL want to me a consumer, they need to come up with better names, if they can't. FC/AC _______, will work and leave the nickname to the fan. Soccer isn't baseball, NFL, or NBA. Silly name with silly gimmick won't work for me.
They aren't coming back with "stupid team names". Many of these teams already exist and have history with their names. And some of the classic NASL names that are coming back(Rowdies) or may be coming back(Strikers) have tremendous history and local support. If you won't support your local club/league because of the team's names then you are not a true fan of the sport my friend.
