Any news to confirm that he will not be able to play either game?

The fact that he hasn't played at all for his club since the T&T game should be all the confirmation you need that he won't be playing.

My guess, is that we will qualify on Saturday or Wendesday (at the latest, God forbid) which he won't be part of. You won't see him with the US team until next year along with many of our Euro-based players.

A greater concern should be that he will get injured again. He's the most fragile player I have ever seen.

It would be so nice to have JOB in the midfield vs. Mexico...he seems to be just on the edge of first team action at ADO Den Haag. But I don't think he's in camp based on all the reports and photos posted already, so unfortunately no JOB vs. Mexico or Guatemala.

The last time JOB played Mexico we won 2-0 and it was the US' moment of glory as we moved on to the quarterfinals in the WC. Perhaps he's just waiting until next summer to come back and embarrass the Mexicans again.

They are now stating that it is a strained abdominal muscle. Has he ever had this one before?

I remember the achilles and hamstring problems, but I'm starting to lose track.

Strained abdominal muscle? Even for JOB, this can not be a long time out. I'm no doctor, but I don't think you can damage these muscles badly. Also, they must be hard to re-injure. I can't believe I'm saying this about JOB, but I'm optimistic about a quick return.

yeah .. and at this point it ceases to be a coincidence. the guy is just freakin soft. and it devalues him as an overall player.
