Does anyone agree that we shoudn't have ANY introduction music for our opponents so if anyone wants to heckle(fans, Casbah,Titan Boys) it can be better heard? Also, I think we need better intro music for our Quakes. That Chicago Bulls/Michael Jordan Techno intro music sucks......we need something with more of an edge, something to move us.....list suggestions below please: Enter Sandman, by Metallica
In every section I have been in, everyone just sits quiet when the opponents are introduced. Sometimes they cheer if they are good guys. The very few guys that get bood are easily louder than the music. I like the current music. Metallica is as edgy as warm jello.
I said a little more edgy.....that techno crap smacks of basketball intros. I keep waiting for Chris Katan and Will Ferrell to step onto the pitch with the boom-box on shoulder and heads bobbin to the beat. It makes me wanna puke.
I just prefer intro music that says "we are gonna kick your ass!" Not intro music that says "Ya wanna dance?"
Music suggestion: Check out a track called "Switch 625" from Def Leppard's High & Dry album. All instrumental, laced with some vintage licks from the late Steve Clark and 3:03 in length. Very rock-intensive if you're looking for something fresh (as in previously unused) and edgy.
Obviously I'm in the minority again but I kind of like "Run Runaway" by Slade. I wouldn't care if the changed it just so long as it isn't changed to "Who let the dogs out."
When the Galaxy gets introduced the music should be "Afternoon Delight" because they're about to be... uh... made love to.
They shouldn't play ANY music at Spartan until they get a real sound system. I don't care what music they use, when it comes out of those P.A. "speakers" is sounds like crap.
For the Quakes intro, I vote for 'Clash City Rockers'. But that's just me. For the opponent, I say they should play tapes of people booing, so that our paltry crowds sound more intimidating and people can be saved the existential dilemma of whether or not to boo.
Wow.....who knew thats what it was, and if by "minority" you mean you and the person that plays the sound(if that's not you) then you are right.
