With Stevie coming out and admiting his preference for Chairman David Moores do you think he will look to leave if Moores steps down?

It wouldn't help. It's clear that no one inside the club has much of an appetite for Steve Morgan (and rightly so), which means that any alternative bid would have to be one in which Moores retains his position.

no I don't think so ,I reckon its directly linked to the champions league ,we must win on wednesday and get at least fourth spot for him to give benitez another year.

See signature below. He made his choice to stay, and real progress for the club will keep him there. I don't think its down to this game or that. But progress must be made. Simply put he's back and playing well for LFC, so the London press put out that he's dying to go to Chelski and carry Frank Lampard's water, while Cup bound in Europe. Makes great headlines on a slow day and nothing else.

I agree as far as I'm concerned he's said he wants to stay and that should be the end of it ,but we also can't be blind that he was so close to leaving liverpool of his own accord ,I love steven Gerrard as much as anyone else ,but I hate all this uncertainty ,some of it caused by him.

I think it's caused by the press for people like you to perpetuate and speculate on..:)

Gerrard farts in dressing room showing disrespect for Anfield, room turns blue, he's going to Chel$ki...

when gerrard was younger he might have gone out partying ,no he is older and has a family and is more mature and settled down. You don't become better by selling one of your best players , but it wasn't the so called "likes" of me who speculate about gerrard,it was gerrard himself who admitted he was within a hairs breath of leaving the club ,last year I convimced myself there was no way gerrard would even think about leaving the club ,he let me down when I found out he had been sending text messgaes to that weasel kenyon, but he decided to stay and at least showed he has some loyalty which is hard to find in football these days , and I hope we do well under benitez in the champions league and that he never has to reconsider .

but my niavety about football is also gone ,I can never say 100 per cent that any player no matter how much they seem to love the club would stay.

Every one has their price. Today I noted that Didi made a statement to the effect that he will wait to see how we are doing before he signs the contract we have on offer. LFC took too long and he's talking about winning things before he retires. As I stated above --- winning will keep players and losing will break up teams all around the world and in just about every sport.

Clearly Gerrards expectations for this years club are unrealistic. Did he really think that by adding a few players and a new manager that we were going to be challenging for trophies? Maybe the Carling cup...but it is too early for us to compete for the championship and make significant progress the champions league. I think he is just looking for an excuse to make his way out.

No, they are not unrealistic. Gerrard wants to play CL football, like every other player on the team. He wants us to qualify for the last 16 and expects us to compete, and there is no reason that we can't. We are a good enough team and I believe we would do fairly well in the qualifying stages. Gerrard has the attitude of a competitor; he wants to play at the highest level at all times.

I also think his comments were aimed at the January transfer window. Progress in the CL equals an additional £10m or so in money for this financial year. Which Gerrard clearly wants to see spent on players of a calibre that he considers suitable for his ambitions. Alonso is the sort of player Gerrard wants - and they cost money.

Not applicable to the Yankees who haven't won in a few year, yetwho seem to keep on adding players.
