After watching last night's game to me it looks like Cornel is the fastest and most skilled forward we have every had. Though it is one game only he looks like he has all the skills and tools to be a Ruiz-type scorer. Hope it lasts but do wonder just a little if it was just one great game. Hopefully he is the explosive attacking player we seemed to have lacked the last few seasons( since Clint got hurt).
Cornel is fast and strong, certainly very skillful. He and Taylor both looked dangerious! I think we are going to have an exciting season.
It's early, but I think Glen will emerge as a great striker. Taylor, I'm also guessing, may be forgotten by the end of the season.
Glen had a good game, but let's not get too crazy. April 17th it was Taylor with 2 goals and he was going to be the best striker in the league. Now it's Glen, and Taylor is an afterthought. If anyone saw the left footed blast that Taylor scored on, I wouldn't give up on him just yet.
They are both incredible forwards. You saw in the Glen's 10 minutes something special. He was so fast on the ball, and took people on. Taylor against Chicago was superb, except for his freakishly poor finishing. He was controlling the ball at will playing against what is supposedly one of the better defenses. He was creating so many chances. Taylor didn't see much of the ball yesterday near SJ"s goal. He had more of it in the midfield where he laid it off, so he did not use his fantastic dribbling much. Both are superb. Lets not forget about Galvan Rey who has all world touch. He almost set up Glen for the third with a cheeky touch but Agoos I believe just got his head on it.
I was surprised to see Glen start the second half since he looked a little winded at the half. Glad he stayed in since we would have been denied his Moore-esque back heel equalizer. He and Taylor looked to work well together and with added practice time might develop some good chemistry together. Let's hope for early WCQ exits for T&T and Jamacia so they won't be away for so long this summer.
taylor may be forgotten???? 3 goals in 3 games and u think he will be forgotten??? bizarre comment dude
Guess I'm one of the only ones that had him BEFORE his 2 goal game. Date/Time (EST) Player Position Bought For: Sold For: 04/26 12:35pm Glen, Cornell S 75,000 -
I didn't, but I as soon as the final whistle sounded on the Metro/SJ game, I dumped Galvan Rey (at a surprising $8000 profit) and picked up Glen for the $75K minimum. His price was up $100K the next morning, peaked at $247K yesterday and is still $232K. I could've used those 2 goals, though.
