I think he is the best. Right now Mcfragile needs to be called Mchard. He is strong and is underrated. He will do great with Everton and his move to Europe could be permanent. Can you name a player in our region with his potentials?

I would be sitting here all day making up a list of players better than McBride in the CONCACAF region. I have better things to do.

McBride is pretty good. He might have been the best forward in MLS last year behind Ruiz, Twellman, Kreis, Graziani...Abdul Conteh

Assuming that he clocks in at about 90 pounds, then yes Brian McBride is pound for pound the best player in CONCACAF.

If we're rating players "pound for pound", I'd say DaMarcus Beasley is the best player in CONCACAF.

If it's so easy, could you produce a list of, let's say, 10?

I think it depends on where they had their last meal, that is if you mean pound for pound. If you mean pound by pound, it is probably Joey Franchino or the captain of the Mexican National Team.

    Pigs Eye (St. Paul),
Wanchope from CR, Stern John and his strike partner, Friedel and the other goalie from US, Reyna, perhaps Donovan, and throw in one or two Hondurans.

He's not even the best CONCACAF player on Everton. Tomascz Radzinski is a proven player in the Premier League.
I think the term 'pound for pound' is best saved for boxing.

Joe-Max doesn't play for Everton anymore. McHead will take the title of "Best CONCACAF player at Everton" soon enough. :D

He's not even one of the ten best strikers in MLS. Hell, he's not one of the ten best forwards on the Crew.

You're not serious are you? If you're talking strictly MLS, he's not even close, yes, he's been a decent player at the Senior International level when healthy, but in MLS, he's definitely not in the top 10.

    Just to humor you.

    MLS forwards better than McBride
    Ruiz
    Twellman
    Donovan
    Mathis
    Wolff
    Cunningham
    Faria
    Buddle
    Graziani
    MLS midfielders better than McBride
    Nowak
    Beasley
    Ralston

That's just MLS, no other's included.
    That should get you started

This thread is simply amazing by the contrariness of the posters. One person says McBride is the best player in CONCACAF, another says there are 10 better players on his own team. Nice.

I think Mcbride is better than Faria. However, I'd take Dante Washington over Mcbride. When Serna and Chacon are actually on the field, they score far more frequently than Mcbride as well. Then there's Jason Kreis. Hell, the list goes on and on.
