You guys notice that Bobby.... at times...with the white shoes and highstep running/dribbling style.....appearing a bit like a former....once very good/great/wanted by PSG dude named Marco....etch... To complete the transformation, I guess he just needs to hurl a throw-in at the face of some young, unsuspecting player.... Bobby channeling Marco from 1996-1998 would be fine by me....Marco was damn good then...
What I noticed from watching Bobby lately for the US is that he looks to be playing his way into position that will demand he see the field. He is constantly dangerous both with his runs and with the ball at his feet. I'm skeptical of left-back being his home forever, but he's obviously looking to become a fixture somewhere. He can attack very well from the back, and seems to have a good ability to just blow by people coming forward with pace and space, something he sees plenty of chances at from the back. Against most of CONCACAF, that should be enough, and he and Beasley together are a terror for pretty much any team. I just worry about how he will do when we face tougher teams and he is asked to play more defense. Maybe we'll get a look at what will happen then when the US plays Holland next.
