This was posted on the columbus board yesterday. Does anybody know if he is in NY?

Would there be any reason at all former Monkeyboy (This is what my wife calls the coach known as Bruce Arena) would be arriving into Columbus today?

We don't play the Redbuds again this year (save any potential postseason). My wife is about 99% sure it was Monkeyboy at Cup O' Joe in the airport today. He's about the only soccer coach she could ever recognize. In addition to his striking visage, there was the bag that he was carrying a bag that had a Snickers and MLS logos on it. I'm not sure what's up with the Snickers logo deal.

Maybe we finally reached a deal for that pesky little draft pick that Ives keeps bitching about!!"

My hunch is he's not in Columbus but if he is.......

In theory, could he have been connecting? I know I've connected in Columbus a few times when I've flown to the West Coast.

Of course, with NY being at home this weekend I doubt he's flyinb to the coast, though I suppose he could have been coming BACK from somewhere else.

Aliexi has offered him Yallup's job in LA.

You read it here first; you can laugh about it later.

If Arena were in Columbus, it's to pick up some Bratwurst to go with the defensive mid-fielder he just got from the Crew (the one who's name rhymes with Fanny O'Fork) for a draft pick and a yet-to-be-notified Quaranta.

No, no, we've offered them Sigi. Please, please let them take Sigi.
    And McCuller.
Say, didn't Arena and McCuller work together in DC?

Haha, don't think a deal for that "pesky draft pick" is in the works as he has his own deal abroad being worked on.

Columbus to trade Eddie Gaven to the Red Bulls for Mike Magee in a swap of unfulfilled talent.

Kidding, obviously. The Crew would want Juan Pablo Angel and a draft pick for Gaven.

Only the Crew boards could have a thread devoted to someone's wife thinking she saw Bruce Arena at the airport. There really isn't much going on in that town is there.

Well, if you really want to know:

Arena was seen in Columbus. It was Arena v. McCullers out out the golf links. Says McCullers, "I took him for about 20 large."

    Sounds like there'
s a big trade announcement coming up.
