PSV has been the top team the past few years, but AJax is still the Man U of the NEtherlands. Now this is the reason this is true, and pay attention because this is all you need to know. The last 6 years, PSV has won the league 5 times and Ajax was never able to beat PSV in the competition. And it was about the Eredivisie, not the UEFA competitions. As I said in an other thread, perhaps Ajax should play the CL tune the next time they play PSV in the Arena. Perhaps PSV will think they're playing CL and fail utterly...
the last 6 years: psv have 3 eredivisie titles, AJAX 2, feyenoord 1... the four years before that: AJAX 3, psv 1 don't you ever get tired of making up statistics?
Don't you ever get tired of lying or putting your own words in other people's mouths? This was the first time I gave statistics out of my own and yes, I did it without checking it, I should have, it was very easy to do. THe domination of PSV this last couple of years, made it seem bigger than it was. After Gerets took over They won twice and then in his third year, Ajax won, and then PSV won again when Hiddink took over. Even so, when you look at the last 20 years, PSV has won more domestic championships, if you look at the past 10 years, PSV has won more domestic championships, if you look at the last 6 years PSV has won more domestic championships, if you look at the past 4 years, PSV has won 3 of the 4 championships. It is clear to anyone that PSV is the dominant side in the Dutch competition.
