I was just wondering what everyone thought of the new Ireland jersey....I personally thought the old ones were better, the new ones are sort of ugly!.

Northern Ireland used to have jersey like this, I think.
(Without the FAI crest, though :))

How come they have a sponser on the front? I thought National Team jerseys weren'y supposed to have them.

This has been the deal for years now - previous sponsors being opel - its some deal the fai have had for years regarding replica shirts. Its a pain as shirts look much better without the sponsors on imo. Occasionally an ireland shirt without sponsor becomes available on e-bay - usually goes for megabucks

I have the new home jersey & had the present away jersey in Japan. I actually would not buy the last home jersey as I thought it was shite, I like the new one!!

I was in the shop about to buy it and decided to spend my money on the away jersy instead, it's that ugly. I'll stick with the old home one until a new one comes out.

I bought one last year on ebay for $20 without the Eircom logo. Some people say they are not the real thing but I also purchased one in Galway for my wife for 50 euros I think (with the logo), and besides the logo, they are exactly the same.

This one is definetely bogus: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3608168098&category=20865

Definately bonus that one was, I got mine the week it came out for £30 in Brighton, that's cheap in the UK for a football shirt!!

Yeah, it's pretty minging alright. It would be a damn sight better without the logo, though.

I disagree.Green can be a tricky color, and this new darker shade to me is preferable to the old day-glo one.Unfortunately I have the old one.

I have a 2002 WC with Keane and 6 on the back. So, even though no one in the states would even know...I had to get on ebay and get a Robbie Keane shirt.(I wanted it first anyhow)
I like the new shirts. I won one on ebay last night. I think I'll put my name on this one so if Robbie leaves too I won't be out 30 bucks again!!
