Iraqi Finance Minister Captured

Saddam Hussein's former finance minister, Hikmat Mizban Ibrahim al-Azzawi, was arrested by Iraqi police and turned over to U.S. Marines, U.S. Central Command said on Saturday.

A Central Command spokesman, Marine Capt. Stewart Upton, said al-Azzawi's arrest showed the effectiveness of the U.S. military's screening process for hiring police and getting them back to work. Upton suggested that al-Azzawi should know where the regime kept its wealth hidden. "It's money for the people of Iraq, and we seek to have that for the building of the future of Iraq," he said.
