Technicalities like a defeated army and having American soldiers parked around town. "The American troops "parachute in" with their journalists, get chased away by Iraqi troops, and the Western media publish pictures and stories, Khalil said. Bill, when you start giving quotes of these guys, I think it would be funny to include a picture of them posturing themsevles. Khalil accused U.S. forces of choosing Iraqi targets with secondary military importance, but public significance, such as Saddam Hussein International Airport in Baghdad. Now, how the hell do you say a friggin' airport is not of primary importance?!?
Iraq IS damn close to victory. It's Saddam and his Baath Party thugs that are being soundly defeated.
I miss him already. There was something oddly endearing about his total unwillingness to look facts in the face. Propaganda is one thing, this was comedy for a good few million people.
No, really. Given the crap that makes it onto TV these days, I'm sure he could manage an eight figure audience. This guy is gold. Saddam I could take or leave - much more entertaining first time round. It'd be almost a shame if the vein of Sahaf goes untapped.
Seriously, I do miss him. His statements always brought a hearty chuckle from me and I just enjoyed watching his utter obliviousness to what was happening. I'm serious too when I say he need his own show. Imagine his opening monologue, damn it would be funny.
