Half of Beverly Hills's residents are Persian yet I don't recall ever seeing 1 Persian in Beverly Hills 90210 (not that I watched every episode ) I only recall a scene in the movie clueless (arguably the greatest movie of all time!) where Alicia Silverstone's character was giving the new girl a tour of the school and then she warned her against the Persians when they were walking by a bunch of them saying "And that's the Persian mafia. You can't hang with them unless you own a BMW."

So a rich Jew becomes a mayor of a rich California city full of Jews. And this is a significant story why?

 

Because he's an Iranian-American Jew, which is a blend of the three cultures that apparently are responsible for everything good & bad in known history (although it hasn't quite been sorted out who gets credit or blame for what). Where this leaves China is beyond me.
